i have the new headphones but i use them with my ipod touch. the only people who will use this r avid apple fans and people who don't need the big screens and games etc. to be honest there was no point to this cause the shuffle 2g works just as well. they should have kept the shuffle 2g and added more memory (4gig) and the voice thing.

headphones arent just headphones anymore. now, they're basically the ipod. if you dont have your headphones then you cant use your ipod, so i dont really like it. i mean, its big enough to have buttons on it. now, you cant buy or use whatever headphones you want. they should start making "iPod Shuffle Headphones"

I looked it up. There is an adapter available to provide the earphone functions when connecting to other devices or earphones.

Then again, if you want a music player for driving, this is probably not the optimal device. I have a feeling something hard-drive based would provide more value.
