The fact that it´s a 3-speed with a "big" rear window tells me (If not modified) it´s a 61-63 Saab 96, not a 93. The 93 was discontinued in 1960.
People here laughing about this 45 hp figure, but these Saabs don´t weigh much so they´re pretty quick, especially on curvy dirt roads.
In a big rally in here in Sweden in 1964, one guy used a Ford Falcon with a Holman/Moody prepared 260 (over 270hp). In the result list I can find two of these Saab´s with a better time!
We had one of these as a shop car in auto shop when I was in high school about 10 years ago. I didn't even know what to say when they first fired it up.
