  • no! he will never be forgotten.

  • Sure Sounds like Charlie Rich.. I think it was Written by Van Gevins and Carl Belew. (sp)

  • The song Am I easy to forget Gene sings it really will. The other person I like to hear sing it was Jim Reeves.

  • gewoon geweldig!!!!

    fa1946

  • no Gene, you're not that easy to forget. at all.

when i found this man, i cannot forget him. no way to listen someone else stupid shit like rihanna or hannah montana. this is real music!

  • Yes you are right, thank you!

  • The best voice in rock'nroll !!

  • just amazing

  • I like all Gene's material. One biography described his Kama Sutra album 'If only you could see me today' as his worst: I disagree, I think it shows maturity. Not so keen on the album 'The Day the world turned Blue', great song though. I like the reference to his ex manager Don Arden on one of the other tracks. I think Gene's rendition of 'Unchained Melody' is the finest.

  • Having been with the Rock n Roll Explosion from day 1

If it was not for You Tube I would never have known how many Beautiful Ballad songs Gene sang

Obviously I had only ever heard his Rockers. Not that it matters at All ... But the strange fact I find is that Not only did he not make No1 in UK

He never Made it into Top Ten infact I think No15 was highest incredible !

However through You Tube he has left a Legacy of Wonderful Rock & Ballads

My Verdict Elvis The Best -Roy the Voice-Then Gene

  • this sounds like charlie rich

  • Gene was at his best when he sang beautiful love ballads.

  • we will never forget

  • gene the king

  • you can find the Challenge sessions on an US CD from sundazed label. Very easy to find on ebay

  • the problem with Gene Vincent fans is that they never listen to the post capitol recording. All of the Gene vincent recordings are great.

  • Yes! this are No Gene Fans who only listen to Rockin Gene of the 50th.

Gene was a amazingt Singer till 1971.Specially the Ballads were not from this World!

  • you're right. He was good and God from the beginning to the end of his career. Just one exception the two recordings with the Houseshakers from 1971. Say Mama and I'm Movin' on (poor sound and Gene voice in bad shape)

  • Okay, he was sick at the Time, and Gene has bad luck with some of his later Bands, mostly are awful!

  • Sick, Pennyless, Depressed. The end was soon.

  • Thank you for a very nice posting!

  • What a Recording, its Electric.

I Put this Song as One of my All Time Favorates {Somewhere in the Top 5} and i am saving this.
