@FULLCOLORSVARiATiON Because.. YamaJima were that close way back when they're still kids. Yamada's bestfriend now is Daiki and he is really close with Chinen too. There are not many moments of YamaJima nowadays. :(

Yabu told everyone that when YamaJima had a fight..everyone in the group was affected. I've read that news from a translation of one of the scans.

Judging from the fact that they still go to the same school, still in the same group, and how they interact (which you can see from recent TV shows and behind-the-scenes), I'd say yeah...they're still close. :)
Not all are in YouTube, but there's an LJ community dedicated to them, and some fangirls more dedicated (and luckier) than me have been able to rip some videos and get screencaps from those shows. You might want to join those communities. Just search for Yamajima in Google. :)
@ixjapan6 not that much now, more with "yamachii" but now they're together again in shonen club, hopefully, they'll be bringing back again the yamajima fever :)

Guys, no need to worry, Yamajima is still alive. In the latest interview of Yuto for the Feb 2010 issue of Wink Up mag, he said that he often dreams about Yama-chan, always helping him out whenever he needs him.
And in a Jan 2010 photoshoot of HSJ, there was a pic there of Yuto hugging Ryosuke from behind. It was a candid pic, very tiny in a corner of the page, can be very easily overlooked if you're not looking hard enough, so it wasn't a "rehearsed" pose.

about chii, well ever since he's very fond of yama-chan and everybody can see that until now he's still very fond of him.. the thing about yamachii is they have the same wavelength (?) they both know they're cute, they're modest with other people but when these two are together, narcissism meter goes maximum! they praise each other but brag at the same time and it's so fun to watch! it's like i see their slyness more when they're together..
yuuto loves his drums as keito is with his guitar, maybe it's just me but yuuto's attachment to keito is like his attachment to raiya coz unlike dai-chan and yama-chan who mutually feels the same way, keito actually has more stories about going on long walks with Chii or Hikaru....

lol, I'm sure it wouldn't affect the Yamajima friendship at all. These guys used to walk home together, do homeworks together, and share secrets. They did all these off-camera, so I don't see why not being in the same TV show will somehow make them stop being friends. Besides, they're still in the same group and they still do radio shows (it's Yamajima week right now, yeah!) so these two will still be seeing a whole heck of a lot of each other. :P
Hey Say 7 has a radio show. It started last year and is still on-going. The first couple of episodes were hosted by all of them, but the normal premise is they're hosted by 2 people from the group. They are matched randomly with each other, etc. This week, Yamada and Nakajima are hosting together again, and from how they sound there definitely isn't anything "wrong" with them. If anything, they sound the most real and natural. Yamada sounds like he's on crack everytime he hosts with Yuuto, lol.
Oh cool. Where can I see it? Of course nothing's wrong with them.. They're like the best of the best. Btw, do you know any websites that contains the latest news on HSJ?
The audios of the radio show are posted here on YouTube. Search for "dainihonzin". She has them all but without translation.
You can go to Livejournal and join communities about HSJ if you want latest news about them. Those communities are quite active, and most are Yamajima fans, lol. You can also search for "jump_daisuki" if you want the translations for the radio shows.
Yeah, there's an entire community dedicated to Yamajima there, not to mention other groups in other sites shipping these two. So really, Yamajima isn't dead and gone. The fans are still dedicated and convinced of their BFF-ness, lol.
That's not what I meant. I wasn't saying that they're dead in the literal sense, lol. I was referring to the fact that some people are lamenting the lack of Yamajima evidences lately because they keep being paired up with other members in magazine interviews/photoshoots. Some people are starting to think that the Yamajima dynamic is just history now and that it's "dead", so I pointed out the fact that it's really not. ^_^
We have to remember though that who gets paired with who is the decision of the magazine photographers/editors, and heck, maybe even Johnny itself. It doesn't really reflect the feelings and friendship these boys have in REAL life and behind the cameras. Some of their interviews are edited and "spiced up" too, to draw in even more fans. I think these mismatchings are done on purpose just to see who looks good with who and who has chemistry together, etc. I wouldn't look to hard into it.
Another reason why I don't think there's anything "wrong" with Yamajima and that we shouldn't worry about them is that in the TV shows where they appear together, they still seem as close as ever. You can see in how they interact and in their body language that there's nothing "wrong". I also get the feeling that Yuto is a nice guy, the kind of guy that can't really hate anyone or have any grudges about anything, lol. He also fanboys Yama-chan a lot. Even up to now.
And oh yeah, may I mention that I trust their body languages more (where they can't be scripted of faked at all) that I see on TV than magazine interviews where we don't even know the real context of what's being asked.

Judging from the fact that they still go to the same school, still in the same group, and how they interact (which you can see from recent TV shows and behind-the-scenes), I'd say yeah...they're still close. :)

Not all are in YouTube, but there's an LJ community dedicated to them, and some fangirls more dedicated (and luckier) than me have been able to rip some videos and get screencaps from those shows. You might want to join those communities. Just search for Yamajima in Google. :)

Guys, no need to worry, Yamajima is still alive. In the latest interview of Yuto for the Feb 2010 issue of Wink Up mag, he said that he often dreams about Yama-chan, always helping him out whenever he needs him.
And in a Jan 2010 photoshoot of HSJ, there was a pic there of Yuto hugging Ryosuke from behind. It was a candid pic, very tiny in a corner of the page, can be very easily overlooked if you're not looking hard enough, so it wasn't a "rehearsed" pose.

about chii, well ever since he's very fond of yama-chan and everybody can see that until now he's still very fond of him.. the thing about yamachii is they have the same wavelength (?) they both know they're cute, they're modest with other people but when these two are together, narcissism meter goes maximum! they praise each other but brag at the same time and it's so fun to watch! it's like i see their slyness more when they're together..

yuuto loves his drums as keito is with his guitar, maybe it's just me but yuuto's attachment to keito is like his attachment to raiya coz unlike dai-chan and yama-chan who mutually feels the same way, keito actually has more stories about going on long walks with Chii or Hikaru....

i think as they were growing up, they discovered more about each other, yama-chan used to say he use keigo to yuuto and yuuto i think was very fond of yama-chan... but they said they had more and more fights and as chii once said they didn't speak for hours but the older JUMP was like laughing coz well when boys fight it's diff with girls right? they're just being more honest about themselves...

I was a YamaJima first before I became YamaChii, well coz there's more YamaChii nowadays... I started missing them when OkaJima started...Yuuto keeps on mentioning Keito and not a single Yama-chan moment... But recently I read a mag interview about Yama-chan tearing off Yuuto's futon to wake him up~! ^0^ I think they're just growing up but what they have will always be special~

I know, but WHEN did they stopped airing SwH?? And for the new show, I think it's gonna be "YamaChii".... No.... I prefer Yamada with Yuto and Chinen with Daiki. Gyahh! This can't be happening, during most shows or the makings, I always see the YamaJima pair together. I hope this does not affect their friendship.

lol, I'm sure it wouldn't affect the Yamajima friendship at all. These guys used to walk home together, do homeworks together, and share secrets. They did all these off-camera, so I don't see why not being in the same TV show will somehow make them stop being friends. Besides, they're still in the same group and they still do radio shows (it's Yamajima week right now, yeah!) so these two will still be seeing a whole heck of a lot of each other. :P

Hey Say 7 has a radio show. It started last year and is still on-going. The first couple of episodes were hosted by all of them, but the normal premise is they're hosted by 2 people from the group. They are matched randomly with each other, etc. This week, Yamada and Nakajima are hosting together again, and from how they sound there definitely isn't anything "wrong" with them. If anything, they sound the most real and natural. Yamada sounds like he's on crack everytime he hosts with Yuuto, lol.

The audios of the radio show are posted here on YouTube. Search for "dainihonzin". She has them all but without translation.
You can go to Livejournal and join communities about HSJ if you want latest news about them. Those communities are quite active, and most are Yamajima fans, lol. You can also search for "jump_daisuki" if you want the translations for the radio shows.

That's not what I meant. I wasn't saying that they're dead in the literal sense, lol. I was referring to the fact that some people are lamenting the lack of Yamajima evidences lately because they keep being paired up with other members in magazine interviews/photoshoots. Some people are starting to think that the Yamajima dynamic is just history now and that it's "dead", so I pointed out the fact that it's really not. ^_^

We have to remember though that who gets paired with who is the decision of the magazine photographers/editors, and heck, maybe even Johnny itself. It doesn't really reflect the feelings and friendship these boys have in REAL life and behind the cameras. Some of their interviews are edited and "spiced up" too, to draw in even more fans. I think these mismatchings are done on purpose just to see who looks good with who and who has chemistry together, etc. I wouldn't look to hard into it.

Another reason why I don't think there's anything "wrong" with Yamajima and that we shouldn't worry about them is that in the TV shows where they appear together, they still seem as close as ever. You can see in how they interact and in their body language that there's nothing "wrong". I also get the feeling that Yuto is a nice guy, the kind of guy that can't really hate anyone or have any grudges about anything, lol. He also fanboys Yama-chan a lot. Even up to now.
