Sorry, but that's not what the official studies concluded. All of them, starting with the FEMA/ASCE report and continuing through the current NIST analysis have concluded that the collapse times were consistent with free-fall speeds. Go look...
This is basic physics, pancaking bldgs do not eject tons of steel UPWARDS at 45deg, pancaking bldgs do not throw hundreds of tons of steel HORZ. 600+ ft, while most of the bldg fell perfectly vertically.
