A question about the amp- is it possible to achieve a pure clean tone with no distortion as I hear that is a problem with the Vox xl?

Of course it's possible to get a pure clean tone, this amp has a great tone even on clean or distortion, the big problem is that this amp have been repaired two times in a year... a small thing, not important repair, but that's the worst of this amp. Anyway it sounds great

the jack inputs, "line/phone" and "return" were not working and the amp didn't sound. but after repair them the amp is PERFECTLY working, no problem at all

I play Metal :) although I use an Engl Savage to play with my band, I have used the Vox to perform in small pubs and practicing and belive me, it's a beast.

THE FEELING CAN BE "FEELED" IN THE SOUND NOT IN THE FACES! when i heard Steve Ray Vaughan in an mp3 with my headphones i can "feel" his feeling, but when i watch a video of SRV y can see and listen to his feeling, in your case i can see your feeling but i can't "feel" ur feeling in the sound,notes, etc

I accept your opinion if you think it's horrible, 'cause I see you are a great guitarist. but if you say that I make "strange" movements with my head, you show me you are not a musician, and you don't know what a player feels when he plays his instrument. "feeling" is a word you don't know, unless you prefer a robot playing a guitar. I don't care my face when I play. Are you sure Thomas blug doesn't move his head when he plays??

Take a look to some other videos of the best guitarist in the world and see if their body is "still", that doesn't make them to be better, and I don't pretend it either, but we all musicians need to express ourselves the way we need to. How to you compare the neck of the Universe to the neck of a 6-string JEM? Too thick? Hard to get used to?

Thanks for your comment! this is the best guitar I've ever had in my hands. The neck has the touch of the silk, and it's very easy to play, To pass from 6 strings to 7 with this guitar won't take you more than 10 min. I own a Schecter 7 strings too, wich is like a stone in comparison with the Universe, and the sound is amazingly powerful, but smooth as well if you turn the volume down. All the styles in one guitar!
