He is whats called a countertenor. Basically a tenor who sings alto and soprano notes. Quite an amazing talent that he has such good control of his vibrato at that range though. If you need proof that this is his voice look for other versions of this on youtube. In some of them he pulls the mic from his mouth then puts it back. His voice cuts in and out as he does this proving it is being sung in really time and not played from a recording and lip sung.
