@GRRJayyy That would be fine - with attribution to 7notemode and as long as it is free and not for sale. Send me a link when you post it. Best of luck to you!
@7notemode yeah man, to be honest i'll probably just have this playing through my speakers and record it as a video, would you like me to put a link to this video or your page when i put it up ? thanks :)
Now I'm glad I bought "Effortless Mastery" Now I will have to read it and use it! I stumbled on this video and it felt very good to jam to....then I noticed it was from Mr. Werner...whose book I bought at the recommendation of a friend. Playing with this felt like I was "tuning into the spirit," and lining it up in a good place to begin playing in a soulful way...
that was absolutely beautiful! I just closed my eyes, sat back and relaxed my entire body. Thank you so much for that. Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing more from you.
celloguy, It's from the Jamey Aebersold collection. I believe it is volume 104, but I am not sure. Highly recommended along with Kenny Werner's book Effortless Mastery.
Amazingly (to me at least) I am re-starting piano lessons after a 20 year break on thursday, prompted by stumbling across, then following, your YouTube videos (then more recently those of Lot2Learn, Pianistaltaliano, jazz2511 and tjjazzpiano) nearly a year ago. Thanks for the inspiration.
Congratulations Jonboyutube! You won't regret it. I am back to taking lessons (more like coaching) on technique issues. If you enjoy the process of learning, you can't go wrong.
Very different, I enjoyed the change in approach. I was immediately struck by the thought that playing against the backing track probably gives at least a taste of the feel of playing in a live trio(?).
i would like to play a floating melody over this on guitar, as a video for youtube, is that alright with you ?

Every musician in the world should regard "Effortless Mastery" as required reading. Far too many musicians play their instruments percussively.

Can you play "How sweet it is to be loved by you" by James Taylor? I don't know if it would sound good on the piano, but can you at least try it?

Who on earth can you go to for lessons on technique - Yoda? LOL!! :)

To play the piano well requires skill. To create music spontaneously requires talent. You've got both going for you full tilt. ;-)
Great improvisation.

How fortunate YouTube lets us stand in the doorway of the artist's music room -- watching you work things out for your own
pleasure, and letting us go along for the ride. This was unusual and cool. Thanks!
