@kyle546546 Well, this one is put together from various companies' manufactured modules, and I just had to install the power distribution components/wiring and hook everything up internally. It is possible (given the time) to build something like this completely from scratch. Check out the electro-music forum if you have an interest in that - there is a wealth of knowledge there on do-it-yourself synth building.
@rovibe Yeah, this one is most definately *dad's* toy :-), but I like to share. They love trying this stuff out. I enjoy doing restoration work on old synths too, and engage them whenever I bring in something new for reapirs, etc... They get to help, its fun, and they get to see a little bit about how stuff works in the process. I think that their favorite devices so far have been the old tape echos- lots of electro-mechanical mayhem going on there.
These guys don't know how lucky they are! Great parents to let them play with their expensive toy ! Bob Moog himself would be proud just to see the smile on that little boy's face at 4:31 ! Awesome stuff.
This video reinforces what I've been thinking lately and that is the idea that I should start my kids out on a modular when they're in diapers. Haha.... I thank you for this,
This is so cute ,two little guys playing with some very expensive hardware.
The little boy in the orange shirt seems to like the Bode filter a lot..While the other boy is much more talkative. Two budding little synth players, they make a great duo.
LOL, those little boys are having as much fun as us big boys have! ;-) Great looking synth and fine intellegent lads too! Congrats on both and thanks for sharing.
Do you have a list of what modules you have on one of the modular synth forums or on a web site somewhere?
DAMN! How come I never had toys this cool when I was young!?
