  • DAMN! How come I never had toys this cool when I was young!?

  • can you adopt me? i'm 19 and I'll live under your stairs and eat crumbs off the floor so long as you leave me at home with this while you're at work

  • Nice attitude! They will like it in the future as you. Well... as they like it now!

  • how do u make a synth ?

  • @kyle546546 Well, this one is put together from various companies' manufactured modules, and I just had to install the power distribution components/wiring and hook everything up internally. It is possible (given the time) to build something like this completely from scratch. Check out the electro-music forum if you have an interest in that - there is a wealth of knowledge there on do-it-yourself synth building.

  • I want to play too!Haha

  • Squarepusher and Aphex Twin of the future!

  • This is the coolest video I have ever seen.

  • Lucky boys you got there.

  • oh man, i wish i had this when i was a little boy.

  • in the end, we all become like them when turning to our modulars, little boys in grown up bodies playing with cables, pots and switches.

this really is one of the cutest and most adorable things i have seen in a verrryy long time and i love you for uploading it :)

    cheers from germany

  • They will be huge synth fans over 20 years ;-)

  • @janxenjanxen

    or deaf ;)

  • cant wipe the tears from my eyes or the smile off my face... thankyou so very much for posting this...

  • These are not toys for children!

  • @hedegaard8 They are if the parents of said children say they are, so piss off.

  • @rovibe Yeah, this one is most definately *dad's* toy :-), but I like to share. They love trying this stuff out. I enjoy doing restoration work on old synths too, and engage them whenever I bring in something new for reapirs, etc... They get to help, its fun, and they get to see a little bit about how stuff works in the process. I think that their favorite devices so far have been the old tape echos- lots of electro-mechanical mayhem going on there.

  • They're gonna be so disappointed when they realize not all synths are like this.

  • good parenting.

  • Getting them hooked early, good work.

  • These guys don't know how lucky they are! Great parents to let them play with their expensive toy ! Bob Moog himself would be proud just to see the smile on that little boy's face at 4:31 ! Awesome stuff.

  • This is how Boards of Canada began..

  • best dad ever.

  • Gotta start young...

  • Luckiest. Kids. Ever.

  • This video reinforces what I've been thinking lately and that is the idea that I should start my kids out on a modular when they're in diapers. Haha.... I thank you for this,

  • Mini Daft Punk

  • mini Daft Punk

  • Mini daft punk

  • Still in pampers and he gets to play with one, I'll probably never see one in real life in my life time. :) Haha

  • Playing the modular will surely replace any toys related to spaceships. Awesome stuff :D

  • This is so cute ,two little guys playing with some very expensive hardware.

The little boy in the orange shirt seems to like the Bode filter a lot..While the other boy is much more talkative. Two budding little synth players, they make a great duo.

  • Lovely Situation, rare video, these boys will maybe become master of it, later

  • Ha ha,your neighbours must live far away, lol. cool video!

  • THat is really nice. They are goig to be quite knowledgable when they get older!

Do you have a list of what modules you have on one of the modular synth forums or on a web site somewhere?

  • Thanks, John. These guys were having a blast with it! I'll post some build pics and more details over at Muff's soon.

    Thanks for visiting!

    Cheers,

    Joe
