  • Yes! They are a cover band at best with a poor impostor attempting to sound like Dennis DeYoung. My wife and I seen this garbage 8-10 years ago at the O.C. Fair here in So.Calif. and we were totally disgusted.

  • Without Dennis, Styx is just a coverband.

  • If I hadn't already heard DDY sing this many times, I could enjoy Gowan. I clicked on this by accident since the title didn't say Gowan. I mean, he's not bad, but DDY has an awesome voice.

  • @sixtiesforever1966 gowan's awesome so shut the hell up! lol!

  • check out my channel for the band trying to bring good music to this generation!

  • Pretty good if the people in the background would shuudupp might be able to hear the song!! Lol

  • Happy 40th Birthday to STYX and the Genisis of its Songbook

  • This is as bad as Sammy Hagar doing David Lee Roth songs!

  • oh my god....isn't it loud with all those amps on the stage :-)

  • In the 80's after Styx broke up I bought Tommy's "Girls With Guns" album. In the same era Lawrence Gowan released his debut album "Strange Animal." Eventually I bought that one. But I never wanted to buy Dennis' "Desert Moon" album. In 1990 I preferred the first Damn Yankees album to Styx's "Edge Of The Century" album. In that era Ricky Phillips was in Bad English with Neil Schon and Jonathan Cain. The new Styx are not unknown idiots. They're a supergroup of guys from the classic rewind era.

  • @TheKevinRogers you just said all that has to be said, and i agree!

  • I wish all Styx, Journey, Van Halen, and other classic rock fans would stop bitching about line-up changes and who was their best singers. Band members will always come and go. That said this lineup of Styx rocks.

  • The current band named 'Styx' SUCKS ASS!

The band is useless without Dennis DeYoung!

Gowan and the washed up glam-rock guy Rikki on bass is a frikkin' joke!

These guys need to hang it up or change their name.

  • Dennis is great no doubt but the current lineup kicks ass ! Ive seen it all and Styx puts on one of the best shows I have ever seen. Deyoung takes too much, Gowan and Rickey Phillips put on a hard rock concert jack-ass

  • @Quad8track bye bye!

  • I like Gowan in all other songs...but Deyoung is the only one that can sing this the way it was meant to be sung. STYX is the best band!

  • It really is trying to replace Steve Perry in Journey.. why guys?? Why bother?

It just bothers me and in this video even the "on stage" persona is impersonated grrrr.

  • @uT2BlckBrd Nah, that's how Gowan performs.... coming from someone who's been watching him play music live since I was 7 years old.

  • No one can ever replace Dennis! His voice is more suited to the songs he wrote and his theatrics are great. I saw Styx with Dennis on the Grand Illusion tour and it was awesome. Gowan however has really improved since he first started singing with Styx.

  • This great grandmother still rocks to Styx.

  • wtf...? are you like 10

  • this song i could marry

  • the singer is Gowan...

  • who's the singer?

    awesome!!!!

  • I saw STYX perform in 1996, what a group !

  • saw styx in oregon this week, they were absolutely awsome, gowan is a great addition to the band.....rock on!!!!

  • do you all feel better now? time for recess and play nice or i'll put you up against the wall.

  • it's a video people calm down lol

  • There are a ton of people here who don't know what they're talking about.I'll see how many wrong facts I can correct: Styx released 5 albums before TS, not 4. Paradise Theater didn't even come CLOSE to going diamond. Kilroy was Dennis' idea, but he didn't "force" it like they say now - I have an interview recording from '83 and all the guys had positive things to say about it the project. J.G.T.T.night was begun and demoed in Japan before the Kilroy idea even came along.Get your facts straight.

  • DENNIS DeYoung>Get over it already, its only rock n roll! Styx is just fine without Dennis!

  • Styx with Dennis: Triple platinum albums (that's 3 million for anyone who doesn't know the system).

Styx w/o Dennis, from what I've heard: About 50,000 sold for Cyclorama.

So if selling 1/60th of the number of records that you did without your leader is "just fine," then I guess you're right.

  • Thanks for the lesson, Let me see triple=3, and platinum=1,000,000 units. Your a real brain surgeon! Styx only went platinum when Tommy joined! BNW with ddy sold little! Most classic acts don't sell many albums anymore!

  • Also> get a job! Anyone who has nothing to do during the day except post comments about styx on youtube has far too much time on their hands!

  • I can spell "you're," at least. BNW was doomed largely because Tommy & JY wouldn't come back to Chicago and record as a band like they used to. Also, Tommy had a lot more to do with mixing BNW, and so it doesn't sound like the classic albums, on which Dennis had the largest say as far as the production.I like Tommy's music, just not his backstabbing. Most classic acts don't sell many albums anymore because they don't exist anymore(incl. Styx). As for "get a job," what can I say? I'm a musician.

  • Well your (spelled wrong) obvioulsy not a successful musocian (spelled wrong again) if you are influanced (spelled wrong again) by such a wanker as ddy! Also, there are alot of classic acts still out there. But I guess you only pay attention to ddy which would explain why you don't know this! Also styx with gowan, tommy and jy are killing fans at their concerts! One of the best live bands on the planet and everybody know this! How many units do you sell, haha>none! As you don,t even have product!

  • You get up before seven to do this? Shouldn't a woman be making breakfast for the kids at that time or something? And yeah, there are other "classic" acts out there, doing just like Styx is: playing casinos without the members that made them famous. It's a traveling Rock 'n Roll Branson, Missouri. BTW, I realize you spelled incorrectly on purpose in writing to me, but what about the one above that? EVEREYBODY? FANTASY'S? This is my last note to you, because your comments don't merit responses.

  • Why don't you get a job, A-hole! It seems that you comment here more that anyone else meaning you spend way too much time in your own hands! Pick a hobby, Prick! And stay off You Tube!

  • No I am NOT talking to you ASSHOLE! I am talking to redcap79! Unless you wanna pick a fight with me! That's fine but I am NOT going to waste my time with another loser like you. Therefore, you and redcaP79 should kiss my ass and go fuck yourselves! GOODBYE! I'm leaving to Mars with JLD with a trillion aliens who bought 10 million copies of Paradise Theater and watch Styx live in concert around the planet! Like Marvin the Martian always says, "I hate Planet Earth!" Armageddon 2012! See ya!

  • Comment removed

  • Then you and redcap are lovers! It seems you are enjoying this trash! Therefore, you two should be alone behind the barn while the animals are watching the show! Mooooo!!!

  • look who's talking

  • styx without Dennis = Stynx

  • Eh he's pretty good. I prefer Dennis DeYoung, but I definitely think this was a pretty good replacement

  • hey sissy

  • booooooo its live lol good song but i dont like it live unless im there lol

  • Like Styx? Like to laugh? Watch: come sail away skit.

  • Mickey Mouse again...Dennis was even better!

  • Bruno your a really defensive bucko, are you trying to compensate for something by telling us how sweet your life is, i bet your two boys are incest lovers with eachother

  • there are actually losers that argue about styx? sad... :S

  • We do because When a band gets worse from single band member, we get mad.

  • Well, you're on here. At least the rest of us REALIZE we're losers! :)

  • There is no music like this anymore. What happened?

  • sorry, but shit sells these days, which means I'll get in the business, make some noise, make millions, pick up chicks, let nature run its course.

  • Money for Nothing..Fuck MTV..chicks for free!

  • Could someone help out? Some months ago i saw Dennis on tv singing Lady at some kind of show where there were a bunch of, well, ladies being presented. I guess it was either a pageant or an awards show, and it was on a major network, does anyone have any idea what the show might have been?? :[

  • I don't like styx so much...but this song is brilliant! :D

  • They are one of the only bands to have three consecutive triple platinum albums! And besides, if you hate them sooo much, why did you even clikc on this video?!?!

  • Correction! 5 consecutive tri-platinum albums: 1977 Grand Illusion, 1978..Pieces of Eight, 1979..Cornerstone, 1980..Paradise Theater (10x Plat) 1983...KIlroy Was Here (5x Plat) However, Van Halen broke a record for 6 tri-platinum lps in the row...1978..VHI (10x Plat), 1979..VHII, 1980..Women & Children First, 1981..Fair Warning, 1982..Diver Down, 1983..1984(10x Plat)

  • you suck for posting on a thread about a band you don't like. Styx rock! This song is brilliant.

  • I love Styx, but the fact that someone in the band is impersonating DDY makes this nothing more than a glorified cover band. If Tommy Shaw had a better gig, he'd be out of Styx very quickly. If DDY came back, they'd drop Gowan like a cold bowl of rice & he'd be forming another Styx cover band. Sorry folks, Styx died in 1982. Some bands don't know when to leave a good thing alone. I guess everyone needs to eat. Maybe they can squeeze out one more greatest hits album before they bury it.

  • Styx didn't die in 1982. They released a triple platinum lp Mr. Roboto in 1983 and went on World Tour for 2 years in which tied Journey's record for playing most cities!! They broke up in 1986. Shaw and Deyoung released solo albums but they weren't a smash. Then Shaw joined Damn Yankees for two lps. Styx came back in 1996 without Jeff. Deyoung left for broadway in 2002. And Gowen sucks turtle dicks! Enough said!

  • Gowan may not have the vocal abilty of DeYoung, but the band wanted to move on and keep performing, and he has proved, at least in my opinion, to be a good replacement. After all how can you argue that someone who has achieved ARCT in classical piano performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music sucks. At least the band is around and touring (seen them 7 times with Gowan). If DeYoung had not gotten so weird with Roboto and that strange crap, he may still be in the band. Still a great band!!

  • What the hell are you talking about?! I never wrote anything about Royal Conservatory of Music! Are you talking to me? You've got the wrong person, Bucko! By the way, it was Tommy Shaw who made the "Mr. Roboto" concept...not Dennis DeYoung!

  • You said (and I quote)"Gowen (sic) sucks turtle dicks." I was replying directly to that statement. If you don't like the guy or his style, that's one thing; we all have our opinions. However, you don't get to his level by sucking.

You need to read up on Kilroy. DeYoung's idea and he shoved that project down the band's throats and they hated hit. Tommy Shaw's contribution to the album Just Get through This Night defines the band's sentiments regarding the Kilroy tour.

  • Who gives a fuck where Gowan come from! Just because he's from the RCM doesn't mean he's GOD! There are thousands of poor musicians who cannot afford to go colleges but ended up selling millions of albums than him! How far did he go? He's lucky he got a break from a band that was big and famous 25 years ago! By the way...I just read about Kilroy and it was Tommy's idea...BUT THE STORY AND CONCEPT WRITTEN BY DENNIS DEYOUNG! Plus I looked at my LP and it said the same thing! You're wrong, BUCKO!!!

  • I never said he was a GOD, BUCKO. I just said he has reached a certain level and must be doing ok to still be with the band after all these years. Luck has nothing to do with it. NUFF SAID.

  • Hey Bucko! I know you didn't say he was GOD! I did....DUH! You're the who colored Gowen who achieved ARCT in classical piano performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music like he was better than others!! Geez! Open up your brain and put some IQ inside, Retard! You are not reading things right! Oh I forgot that you were a hippie. Still smoking pot, Old Man? Vietnam is over and we are fighting in Iraq! Like....HELLO!!! Is anyone in there? Bet your brain is fried! Go play some Pink Floyd albums!

  • Tommy wrote 3 songs in that album! Cold War and Haven't We Been Seen Before are the other two! DYY did 3 and JY had 3. Like can you count? Guess not! All 3 men were involved in the project!! BTW, Tommy was a spoiled brat! Before, Kilroy, he left the band three times because he felt he didn't get a fair share of his music! It wasn't his band in the first place! He joined them in 1976 after STYX released four albums! After Damn Yankees failure, he begged to come back to STYX because he was BROKE!!

  • Take 3 Xanax and get a life. Maybe in your shallow mind, all of this is a big fucking deal, but to me and the real world, it isn't.

  • Hey Hippie! You need some drugs to go back in the 60's! I don't need them because I'm from the different generation, Moron! I already have a life with a wife and two boys! I also have a four bedroom house with two car garage and a pool/spa! I own (not credit or loan) a 2008 Corvette and a Harley Davidson! That means I make more money than you, Bucko! I bet you live in the VW bus with an 8-track stereo playing Iron Butterfly and a pot to piss in and an inflatable doll to fuck with! Peace, Dude!

  • Could someone get this Bruno guy a valium or ten? He talks about how great his life is... then why is he on here telling us about it instead of riding his Harley or running from room to room in his house? Can you say, "inferiority complex?"

  • Damn Yankees Failure? They sold over 4 million albums in 3 years and had 2 sold out tours! Doesn't sound like a failure to me.

  • Can YOU count? JY only did 2 songs on the album: Heavy Metal Poisoning and Double Life.

  • For someone who is righteous and esteemed you sure leave alot of posts here with negative responses. Go watch mr. deyoungs videos or just get lost!

  • I have an LP interview from 1983 on which all the Styx members talked about the Kilroy project. The Panozzos barely spoke, but the other three all had only positive things to say about Kilroy. And besides, a person can only have something forced on them if they allow it to happen. No one "made" them do it; they could have said no. The funny thing about TS's negativity now re:Kilroy is that his songs were the best ones on it. When were TS & JY lying about their feelings on Kilroy -then or now?

  • Riddle me this: How could Kilroy became a two time Grammy winning, tri-platinum album that had #3 song, Mr. Roboto (Behind MJ's Beat it and The Police's Every Breath) and a sold-out worldwide tour broke up the band? Tommy left the band FIRST after the Caught in the Act lp in 1984 because he didn't want to record another theaterial lp like the success of Paradise which was 10x Plat in 1981 and Kilroy. So he went solo and failed and joined Jack Blades and then Damn Yankees and failed again! Big L!

  • Kilroy never won anything! All it did was take the biggest band of the day and a made evereybody hate them. Two grammys, where do you get your information> from Dennis Deyoung fantasy's?

  • They won two of them in the video catagories. NOT the MTV Awards, Dumb Fuck!!

  • You are such a retard its almost unbeleivable! The Grammy awards do not have a category for best video stupid ass! Styx was nomonated for a grammy in 1981 and lost. I never mentioned MTV either! You are delusional and you spread lies like most of your counrtymen! Spewing fake infomation all over the net. Again do your research you dumb fuck. its not that hard. But your retarded so thats asking alot. STYX HAS NEVER EVER WON A GRAMMY AWARD FOR ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!EVER!!!

  • Hey ASSHOLE! Grammys do have the Best Video Performance Awards! Michael Jackson won the first one for his 1982's Thriller, Dickhead!

  • Hey dumb dumb, Thriller won awards in 1984 not 1982! Duran Duran won video in 1984> the first year videos were included in the grammy's. You just keep on demonstrating how utterly stupid you are. So what about styx's 2 imaginary Grammy's you claim they won! Did they disappear? OH! and the diamond award, did that disappear to? You are owned and I dub you "king of the retards"! You are too easy, like arguing with a child! Ha Ha!

  • Paradise theatre also sold 3 million copies not ten million. You are so ignorant. No wonder people all over the world think america os stupid. You are the perfect example of the American Stereotype!

  • I love seeing you get all mad when you know your wrong! Check you facts again, thriller won Grammys in 1984, not 1983. Again styx never ever won a grammy let alone 2 as you have made up! Styx was never big outside of North America, maybe a few sold in europe and japan but not many! Paradise Theater didn't even come close to selling 10 million. You are still owned and still "king of the retards". haha!

  • 1983...you dumb fucking canuck! I checked again and it was 1983....NOT 1984. Thriller was released 11/30/82 and went #1 in 1983!!!

Styx was big around the world!! They went on World Tour TWICE!! Look at the live album and look at the cities that was recorded LIVE, you dumb fucking dickhead! Therefore, you haven't owned me yet because your stupidity in your brain is still frozen from sticking your head in the yellow snow! Now fuck off and go play with your dolls, you fucking faggot!

  • First of all the argument was about 2 styx grammys you say they were awarded! So when did those happen again? They didn't! The population of earth is 6 billion not 1 trillion as you claim, and styx kilroy tour got cut short about half way through as it was losing tons of money and tommy quit. PT never sold 10 million copies either.Thriller was released end of 82 for sales in 83 and won 7 awards for grammys in Feb 84 none for video as you claim! Also it does not snow everywhere in canada,OWNED!

  • Oh ya dumb dumb you think planet earth has 1 trillion people! You really are stupid! Six billion is the population of earth. You must of mistaken it for the usa debt which is in the trillions. You are owned again retard!

  • Hey Dipshit! You forgot to count the illegal aliens from Mars! They live in Canada with icicles up their ass....just like you! Again...I'm not owned yet, Loser!

  • I can't help myself - this JLD doesn't know anything. Paradise did not do ten million ANYWHERE. The earth's population, JLD, is "only" 6 billion plus - a trillion is 1000 TIMES A BILLION. Bit of a difference there - check your almanac. And how does one live "in" Mars? The reason people like you have to use so much foul language is because your stupidity prevents you from saying anything worthwhile.

  • let's not forget their return to paradise tour in 1996...that was their final moment of glory!

  • was this the tour with def leppard and forigner...if so i was there ...but in vegas...it was amazing!!

  • What an amazing group! Great memories!! Thanks for posting.

  • What high school was this at?

  • This wasn't at a high school, it was at a theater in NW Indiana

  • some of you are just haters! styx is amazing

and I was DEFINITLEY at this show..2nd row baby! styx put on a great show, i got to meet them, and it was free. doesn't get any better!

  • Not sure when this show was, but I saw the first show with Gowan on keyboards years ago. A shock to all of us expecting DeYoung to be there. However, show was great and have seen them several times since then. Some groups change members, and suffer (i.e. 2007 Van Halen). Styx is still tight and sound great in all aspects of their music. Different, but tight. Coming to HOB in sunny Myrtle Beach, SC on Jan. 19, 2008. Already have ticks. Let's rock!

  • Does anyone know where this was at?

  • This concert was in Merrilville, Indiana.

  • go burn in hell, you probably don't have the required IQ to play an instrument. AND GUESS WHAT? JAMES JY YOUNG and TOMMY SHAW have been in it since the start so suck it. they can't have all the original members. So go back in time and stop complaining!

  • For your information "Hanging" Saxman, Shaw did not join STYX until 1976. STYX officially became a band in 1970. So using your logic, how could he,"have been in it since the start"? Maybe you have been blowing on that sax too much of late, on your local street corner depriving your one brain cell of much needed oxygen.

  • classic: tommy shaw joined styx back in 75,after john crulewski left

  • classic rock your an idiot i went and saw them on sep 7th and they were just as good as ever. Gowan's really great also i agree that DeYoung was a bit better but come on just chill dude! especially about the quality comment just settle down!

  • Is the Cap Lock tab on you computer keyboard broken? Saxman,if you want to spend the money you have collected in your empty soup can while playing your saxophone on the local street corner on a lousy cover band go ahead. Myself, I would have spent the .99 cents on grab bag of Cheetos. Have a nice day!

  • classic:maybe you should've spammed him

  • Saxman: You're the idiot... I saw them on a pbs special..they were better then ,,than whgen you saw them

  • Hey Freja1313 You're the idiot. . . I saw them live and they sound exactly like the cd! and what is "whgen"?

  • they fuckin rock

  • classicrock955 you realize the majority of the people on stage are well over 50 and on there way to 60. I want to see how your voice sounds after 30 years and hundreds of performances. probably not much better.

  • Based on your statement, Dennis DeYoung is the exception to YOUR rule. I challenge you to check out Dennis' performance here on You Tube of "Lady" from 2005 with a full symphony; a top notch performance. His voice sounds the same if not better 33 years later. You bet I'll take a 60+ year old icon (Dennis) over a 50+ year old virtual nobody ("Gowen").

  • Good Lord, this is garbage at its finest. The video quality is poor is that a chick butchering this song? What is the name of this tribute band,"Styx gone bad"? Man Simon Cowell would have a field day with this act!

  • Regarding the quality: This has already been mentioned. It's at a CONCERT with a DIGITAL CAMERA. It's not going to be the best quality. It's not professional. It's for enjoyment. If all you have to do is scrutinize every little detail, then don't bother watching it. Save yourself some time.

  • Geez settle down lady (no pun intended). Just expressing an opinion here. It's quite apparent you have a problem accepting harsh reality. One of my questions in the previous comment was: "Who is the girl butchering this song"? Perhaps it is you? Maybe that explains your extreme sensitivity to my original comments. Just a hunch....

  • This is also just my opinion. I have no problem with people commenting on Gowen's good vocals, or lack of vocals. I haven't commented on any other people because it's their opinion. But what I don't think is necessary is to talk about the quality. That's all I'm saying.

  • Enough said about the video clarity. In regards to "Gowen" I agree somewhat with the latter "lack of".Is this the so called "new and improved" Styx? I have to agree with some of the other posted comments regarding "Gowen". He's a far cry from Dennis DeYoung. Dennis' voice is head and shoulders above this imposter. I wouldn't waste the spare change in my left front pocket to see this act live.

  • So the new Styx might not sound anything like the old Styx, but they sure did put on a good show. And anyway, I didn't have to pay to get in, so the spare change wasn't even needed.

  • I swear some people just say negative comments on youtube just to say them.

  • to tell you the truth, styx is better live without dennis, there a "rock band" now, not a lounge act

  • How awful and sad is this. Styx has been reduced to a dive bar act. Sounds like Larry Gowan inhaled about 2lbs.of helium before "Lady". As for Tommy, he looks like a dirty David Spade in dire need of a shave and a bath. J.Y. give up the Jon Bon Jovi look. STYX died when you FIRED Dennis!

  • OMG...Amen!!! I can understand lawrence gowan filling in for chuck because of health reasons. but i would very much like to see glen burtnik in his place. and that band, if you can call it that, went to hell in 1999 after Dennis DeYoung was fired. Dennis's new cd kicks ass compared to the so called..."Styx"...they have nowadays.

  • Now reflecting back, my wife and I are grateful we were able to attend the 1996 reunion/farewell STYX tour. I have seen every tour since the Grand Illusion tour 1977. Without a doubt, Dennis'amazing voice was the reason I WAS a huge fan. As for Lawrence Gowan, he's just a cheap imitation that should performing in some dark, obscure Cabaret club in Paris with Tommy and J.Y. as his side act...

  • Oh yeah bar act, right, so that's why they just played at the bell center in montreal and like a month before that sold out casino rama in orilla three nights in a row

  • All due respect, but I would be willing to bet there was an additional band or perhaps bands on the bill that night with the STYX COVER BAND at the Bell center in Montreal. I'm from California and three years ago STYX(cover band), Journey (less Steve Perry), and REO Speedwagon performed at the Staple center to a WAY less than capacity crowd...The ORIGINAL lead singer is pretty powerful, just ask a true Journey fan.....

  • your pretty stupid with calling styx a cover band

because 40% of their set is tommy songs 10% is jy

and 40% is songs dennis used to croon and most dennis songs he sang actually had a majority their parts written by tommy or jy Tommy had written come sail away years before styx dennis just made the intro piano part and jy wrote the last verse along with many other songs it is just pointless thing to say t hey are a cover band because the obviously are not

  • Stupid? Listen "Mental Midget",it is quite apparent,

you failed basic punctuation. How embarrassing! You must have been the second grade class dunce. Yeah I know the "roots" of, "Come Sail Away". It was the intro and chorus cord Shaw wrote for a prior band the song was,"Ain't Gettin' Down for You". Dennis took it to another level; he re-wrote it, and made into an enormous hit. Incedentally, do yourself a huge favor, and purchase,"Punctuation for Dummies". Please!

  • i could only put in 500 characters. where the hell do you get mental midget from. i think i would know about the songs considering my uncle is in styx

  • Then you must also know that Dennis pushed "Crystal Ball" from being mediocre (no chorus) to being great, that in the Wooden Nickel days Dennis let JY sing a bunch of songs that he wrote, and that their only #1 album was Dennis' brainchild. And trendmotor is right. O.K., leave out some spaces... use abbreviations, but other than that, LEARN TO WRITE IN ENGLISH.

  • So, braintrust, who did the remaining 10% of the songs? :)

  • The key word in bookfloor's post: CASINO.

  • This is a shame, this band does not deverve to be called Styx, they sound like a very poor cover band. The new Dennis Deyoung CD is awesome. By far better than anyhing Styx put out since Dennis was fired. Grow up Tommy and James, and Larry, get a life and stop trying to be like Dennis.

  • you are an idiot who his either dennis deyoung himself leaving comments on here or you have mental health issues

  • brian: dennis de young left styx ,due to health problems...( he had a couple of nervous breakdowns) he wasn't fired

  • We could go back and forth on this - but anyone who has seen the behind the music or any of the other interview material knows that Dennis WAS fired. He asked for more time to deal with his health before touring again, and they said no and left him out of his own band. That's FIRED. It's great to see him singing so well at (almost) 62 - he's better than these guys. I do wish he'd get guys to sing backup instead of the ladies, though.

  • Gowan's nasal vocals suck- Stop butchering Lady all over the world- He can't hold a candle to Deyoung's vocal perfection- You want real vocals buy Deyoung's CD 100 Years From Now

  • I agree

  • dennis deyoung owns, he has one of the best voices ive ever heard in my life. this guy sounds like a chipmunk

  • What ever DeYoung is , He is styx when it comes to Lady. I just wish I could see the band live. Good old stuff.

  • Champ: come sail away also

  • Glad I got the chance to see them once when they were still Styx... in 1983. I was twelve and they came to Boise. My first big concert ever - and my favorite band. People say RTP is better than Caught in the Act- nonsense. Todd's drumming didn't fit, the vocals weren't up to previous standards, the guitars weren't "tough" enough, and Dennis switched to digi keys, and so lost a lot of that authentic sound.I wish Styx had the fan base to do as KISS has by releasing a "Styxology" of classic footage.

  • thank god DeYoung is off the stage being gay somewhere

  • XRocker, dennis deyoungs' wife 's name is suzanne..they have a family so your crack about ddy 's being is a eronious one... because you can't prove it

  • Actually,it's Chuck who is the homosexual. And I read his autobio twice.Talk about a lame book(so why'd I read it 2x?Good question). If you want to read a book that's approximately 70% about being a "poor, misunderstood homosexual," about 15% regarding Styx stuff we've already heard, and the last 15% containing "new" Styx revelations(oh yeah... that small portion is the reason I read it twice),read this book.Chuck is so full of excuses;like every bad thing throughout his life is others' fault

  • Great song!

  • Dennis DeYoung was the lead singer for Styx

  • I less than three Styx. (less than three = <3)

  • their music never gets old

  • went into deep purple came out a styx fan? 21.4.07

  • Just play Mr.Roboto for the love of Alla!

  • ugg, mr.roboto, the one STYX song i dont like.

  • It's the one Styx song I know. I believe I had it on my "Chart Action 83'" album.

  • Ha. ^_^ I agree... but I think deep down inside I do love it, because it's Styx, but unfortunately it's one of their worst- but it's the first one people think of when they think of styx.

  • Dennis Deoyung sings it much better, Gowan should not sing this

  • Gowan sings it better

  • no one sings a song better then the original singer!!!

  • that is absolutely not true.

that's an extremely moronic thing to say and or believe.

  • I agree. Gowan does a really great job though. It's just not the same.

  • Wholeheartedly agree, for two reasons. The lesser reason: he sounds like he inhaled helium before he sang it, and more importantly, Dennis wrote this song for his wife shortly after they got married. What, is Gowan singing to Dennis' wife? It's too personal.

  • awesome song. Love the vocals on this.

  • if the boneheads who shot this video would shut up it would be a lot better

  • well considering we were at a concert with thousands of people around us, it's not going to be quiet. if i were you i wouldn't complain. =]
