I have an E46 330i and the only performance item I have is the Signature Motoring performance CAI for about $160. The performance kit adds around 13.5HP on the dyno, sounds freaking great, and installs in under 30 minutes. Highly recommended.

@liebelicht  man only 318;316 not fast but 320D or 330cd/330d they are strong too the commonrail motors its good i have one with 290NM 140 HP its just amazing man i made 240 km/h with mine 320d its economyc good for drive fast enought but 316 or 318 are very slow.. i made 100 km/h like 7-8 seconds

Perfectly healthy. BMW say it will do 0-100 in 12.2 seconds. Count 7 years, 150.000 km, 17 inch RUNFLAT (not original, very heavy) rims/tyres, passenger and full boot with it and you will end up at this time.

It still is more than enough for daily traffic(jams).
