  • I miss my old '94 Spirit V6 (A670 3-speed ATX).

  • pretty good shit for no turbo!

  • That was a 9.20

  • sounds bad ass, what kind of muffler you got on you spirit?

  • @Tbolt1000TForLife 2.5" cat back mandrel bent pipes with a dynomax super turbo muffler

  • @supermoonbeam great, how loud is it

  • @Tbolt1000TForLife only a little louder than stock, but it sounds alot better. Perfect for a daily driver.

  • @supermoonbeam yeah, it even sounds better than my 1986 Pontiac 6000 STE lol

  • @supermoonbeam btw does it still have the resonator?

  • Hello,

Mine is 117 000 driven and it goes under 10.00 See my video. My 4 speed auto changes gears very slowly... Ultra Drive ...

  • my 1992 spirit is idling high about 1200-1500 rpms...how can I lower it?

  • Most likely have a vacuum leak. Also check on your throttle body, there is a screw on there you can adjust. If the cap isn't popped open then chances are it's not that.

  • +1 if it just started happening, its most likely a vac line. There aren't too many vac lines on these cars...

  • Yeah i do wish my '93 Lebaron had a 5-speed

i can still haul to 60 in about 8 seconds though, not too shabby.

    Very nice Spirit

  • my stock 3.0 spirit do it in 9 seconds with the 4 speed trany, I think it's faster with mine

  • probably, the 4 speed has a much lower first gear. 5 speed beats all tho

  • @supermoonbeam lol I agree 5 speed kick ass

  • I think that transmission needs a band adjustment. My 92 3 liter Voyager with the 3 speed doesn't shift that slow, same goes for my mother's 96 3 liter Voyager.

  • I fixed that with a 5 speed hehe

  • i don't think the 41te has bands, well not since i last rebuilt one, it would be easier to jack up the main line pressure then it'll slam into gear pretty hard

  • That 1-2 shift is pretty lazy, no wonder the dodge trannys like to burn out. A gradual engagement of the clutchpack is nice for granny's comfort but horrible on the friction surfaces. My mom's astro van's 1st-2nd is so sudden the van lurches hard, but it has 217k on it by now.

  • The 1-2 shift on the 3-spd is very slow. Same story on my '89 Lebaron. Check out my accel vid. I'd assume you're right about it burning the clutches out faster with a slower change of gear like this, BUT I got over 180k miles out of the 3-spd in my '92 Acclaim. Would have lasted longer too, but car was wrecked.

  • jesus the 1st to 2nd gear is really lazy huh? my 2.5l 4cyl spirit is pretty bad atthat toobut not THAT bad. it just feels like ur getting punched lol.

  • cuz shit man it shifted at around 5100 RPM. Completely missing the upper power band.

  • you can see in my other vid, that 5000-6000 range is REALLY useful.

  • It looks about 9 seconds flat 0-60 in this vid. Not bad for not manually shifting
