I would agree with you both (BELL12366 & KingInk80). Sonic Youth made this whole scheme of noise rock. How to deconstruct a song and then pick up the pieces and glue them together to get the escence of disharmony and melody. But I'll also give a point to BELL 12366 'cuz I believe that SY made the biggest progres during the last 19 years. THAT'S noise rock. Putting all those brilliant melodies together in a song with some ear killing noises. :)
