  • this is so jazzy, reminds me of some pat metheny, when was this composed?

  • When I close my eyes I see Keith Emerson.

  • very good technic ! it sounds as good as not a real perofmance :))

  • Muy bien, chicos, os estais portando muy bien.

  • Joe & Mac melody.

  • @KeCS1 Nice try at trolling. I don't think it's possible to not like this!

  • there is a punched role for barrel organ for this piece? sounds pretty cool - would be nice to actually see barrel organ players performing ligeti in our old city...

  • Not diggin' it.

  • most gangsta shit ever

  • sounds a lot like ELP

  • Put a fat beat under that!

  • fantastic. secular Messiaen.

  • Ligeti at his best and it works so well in this version as well as the fantastic harpsichord version.

  • Makes me wonder what this would sound like on a Hammond B3. :)

  • @polkusin : Intense.

  • I find this much more pleasurable than the rather irritating harpsichord performances.

  • @coasterman16 but the original composition is for harpsichord, by Ligeti himself..

  • Astonishing... It works!

  • It sounds way better here than on the harpsichord imo

  • absolutely amazing!!!

  • This peace is for harpishord not for organ

  • Ligeti's harpsichord pieces, including Continuum, were transcribed for pipe organ in his day, I think by some famous Swedish player at the time, which he had been interested in and approved of.

  • Its played on an organ here though mate

  • es para organito y clavecin

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is PERFECT

  • awesome piece.

  • really interesting, thanks!

  • ez mióta rock??????????????

  • hard rock, halleluja!

  • now i see where keith emerson of emerson lake & palmer lifted the idea for a LOT of the group's music...

  • Keith Emerson never hid his past classical studies: on the opposite, he revised classic music into modern progressive rock version, drawing public attention to 900 contemporary classic music too. ELP first album was dated 1970, Ligeti composed Hungarian Rock in 1978, inspiring by rock music (ex.Beatles), well knowing the actual music, like Stockhausen. Emerson didn't lifted anything, he openly decleared his jobs!!

  • yeah it does sound incredibly similar to some of their stuff.

  • I had considered putting this up myself, but I see someone had thought of it first :)

  • this owns
