@midotron: It's possible. But we're working on supporting ADS/B first - should be ready in 6 months or so. This provides nexrad radar, metars, winds aloft, etc - and doesn't have a subscription. ADS/B also includes traffic. If enough pilots want XM after that, we'll support it as well.

@cptndavis That capability is being added - it will be available in our next software release, which is coming out in July/August 2010 timeframe.
