No the topspeed in 7th gear is higher as 6th gear only goes to 300 kmh. Search on topspeed of m6 videos and you will see many hit 340 kmh on the speedo. Why would the engine explode without 7th gear. That is so stupid. You don't know your cars mate.

The top speed in 6th gear is 300 km/h, in 7th on the speedo it is 340 km/h. You can also look at my M5 doing 335 km/h while still accelerating. I know it is not true gps speed, I never said it was. I know my facts.

Because I am showing what the needle does in this movie, I didn't have gps with me. But I do know that 204 km/h speedo is an accurate 200 km/h gps. Theoratically that means 295 km/h speedo = 289 km/h gps or 340 km/h = 333 km/h. Happy?

It shifts to 6th @255 km/h just like on my M8 (i.e. 850CSi, manual shift though, but the rev limiter kicks in there if I stay too long in 5th gear).

I do feel the M8 is a little faster in 6th gear though, but I may be wrong, it was many years since i drove it past 240 km/h, traffic and my conscience doesn´t allow it anymore. It´s just nice to know it´s possible. But then you have the 7th gear... yikes :-). Schöne Grüsse aus Schweden!
