Alright so you know how cops drive around probably crash once or twice in a cars life time and put alot of miles on them...when they strip the lights jammers and the laser audio off how much do you think i could buy that car for cause i really like how the police are rolling now a days lol
Is this high dollar police car needed ?? i think not,how about they stop spending my tax dollars and crap like this! How about a great on gas toyota corolla with simple letters on the side that say police, maybe even some tools in trunk to actually help people! Never call or tell the cops anything, they will always try to turn it around on you ! When a cop shows up your chance of injury go uo 49%! State revenue collectors with guns who want to keep their system alive, watch out for them !
@sn9696 Id like to see that Police Corolla catch up to any good driver in a get away Trans Am or Camaro, or any car quicker than a Corolla for that matter, It wouldnt. Thats the point of having a police car, to catch up to the bad guys!!! I see your point though about over-doing it...
I saw an MA state trooper in one set up like this push a Mustang till he romped the skinny pedal then all the strobe came out... I had no clue it was a a SP car. (nor did the poor mustang) I just got out of his way as he was tooling up behind me also (thank gawd)
@Keelman122 you're probably right, but i know that in Georgia (which, he's obviously not) you're not allowed to have lights that flash on your car while you're moving, and if he tries to use them lights to pull someone over, its impersonating a cop, ya know?
@10txram If you're an unmarked cop driving through empty roads to a suspicious location, do you want marked units to hit you with a laser and pull you over for speeding?
@TMWShadowStarr Why would they pull you over if you have all your lights going? Its not like just because you have a jammer you can fly by a cop doing 100..
@10txram some cars carry radar detectors to know when cops are ahead. Some of them are advanced and have laser detectors. If you jam a laser detector it messes up its reporting and range, therefore you spend $400 on a laser detector only to get jammed and get a ticket anyway.
@wazup3333 its a system that automatically reads the plates from the car in front and the car behind and then quickly runs it thru a vehicle database that checks for warents or stolen vehicle
I think if both of you are in law enforcement. for one you guys are on the same team. quit fighting like little bitches over what lasers can do. and it's a bad ass car starz. and Clint Eastwood you are right about the warrant thing other than your fighting with another former law enforcer which makes everything invalid because all i'm getting is two posers yelling about a Camaro with a laser. who cares guys go do something important. and i'm not talking shit or down on either
Your still completely offset with the technology debate. I'm in Texas... Not Canada. And I my self work for a Law Enforcement agency. That's most likely the reason your no longer a certified Peace Officer. It's a shame you think your so intelligent. By the way the Laser Listening device doesn't penetrate though walls, doors etc. hence the reason anything heard would be of public matter. Also: bravo for being able to accomplish a debate without using profanity.
To all those who have messaged me and thanked me for providing defense against the typical Youtube troll like "STARZFAN31" I posted my reply as a message from my phone. Here was my reply:
@STARZFAN31 Actually... Radar Detectors do not "use" Radio Waves in any way... they only detect them. And most Radar Detectors out there do have Laser protection. It protects from infra-red speed detection also known as Lidar. Both of you are wrong.
This car, for whatever reason has a "Laser Jammer" which if effective, would prevent an Officer's Laser Radar Gun from picking up it's speed. I see that as pointless in an emergency vehicle...
@STARZFAN31 I believe I said "Dish" This is what the AED is. It uses the laser only for pinpointing the direction that the sound is coming from. Not as a repeater for amplifying sound.
I am assuming by your lack of response you have dropped the Radar Detector argument? Do you see how you were wrong?
I do love reading your responses. Keep it up. They give all of us a good laugh. You can pretend that we are laughing with you though...
@STARZFAN31 But you can pretend to know what your talking about. I believe that you were the one who first didn't even believe in local Law Enforcement officials having a device like this... Now after some Google reads you think you know your stuff? Intriguing. Now I await your reply. I bet it will be heated as you do not know any other form of response other than insults? And a GOOD Police Officer does not need to use abusive language to do his job. I'm sure that seems absurd to you.
@STARZFAN31 Also Laser Voice Listening is not what you are assuming it is... It is a standard listening dish available in various catch sizes but only prominent in handheld applications. If this car truly had that it would be sitting in the front seat and not an effective mountable device considering movement necessary to pinpoint sound. The laser on this device comes in because you are better able to pin point sound using the laser as a general Center of Disruption.
@STARZFAN31 Also Local Law Enforcement agencies do not need a Warrant to allow use of Audio Enhancement Devices. Your "invasion of privacy" does not make sense... Your words are not "private." They are only private until they are spoken. Then they are public... Also since your words are "Free Speech" what would you expect a LEO to hold against you in court without being read your Miranda Warning? Do you think about your replies before you post them?
@eastwoodisme Also, tard, if you are in your own home, your vehicle, etc, by law you have an expectation of privacy which cannot be violated without a warrant from a court.. Oh wait, you are in Canada where you have no fucking rights. I feel sorry for you. As a former police officer, I think I know the law a bit better than you do. Btw, "free speech" means I can say what I wish, not that law enforcement can obtain them without cause and a warrant. It is you who needs to think. Done.
First of all it's "laser" not "lazer." If you do have a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice you would think that English was one of your core classes. I am impressed that you have tried to step up your vocabulary because you see that with verbiage of a 15 year old you have no grounds for respect in an argument.
Also, I never said I was a Patrolman... Is that another one of your assumptions? Like my age, profession, degree of education and residence?
@STARZFAN31 Yes in Texas we shoot first and ask questions later. That's the way we roll around here. Also a "Laser Microphone" can still not go "through" a window as you put it. It is possible to read vibrations off of the window; however, I believe that I said "Laser Voice Listening" also know as Audio Enhancement. Not a laser microphone. They are two COMPLETELY different pieces of equipment. I understand you may not be able to completely scour my responses and make logical sense but ill help:
@STARZFAN31 No rights? Ever heard of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms? We have more protected rights than Americans do. Try reading a document before offering an opinion. Judging by your total lack of legal knowledge and your piss poor attitude I don't think you are or ever were a police officer in any form.
Respond to this video... Oh and Free speech does not mean you can say what you want. If what youre saying imposes on the rights of others, such as the right to live and work in an environment free from harassment, then it becomes a criminal offense. You're such a moron...
@Dusty2K6 Yes, I am a former police officer and have a degree in civil law, so yup, I am a moron. What are you, some high school dropout? I didnt say that freedom of speech didnt have limitations, so I suggest you learn to read, study a little law, then get your ugly ass back with me. Until you do those things, youre not worth the typing time.
@STARZFAN31 Let's for the sake of argument say that a 50 year old Law Enforcement Officer has a hearing-aid in. Let's say that he can hear somewhat further now with his Audio Enhancement Device than a normal set of ears. Are you truly saying that he would need a warrant? For a capture device. A warrant? You do make me laugh. Your expectation of Privacy is Null and Void when in public. This constitutes being outside of your home, the only practical place this device would be used in.
