I dont get it.

I managed to do 2-4 bunnys easly at one time, but i cant pounce survivors. I aim and do everything like in movie, but i almost always bump into them. After few hours i know that i need to stop pressing pounce button and then fast press it again just before jumping on survivor, but kral didnt write anything about it, and its a bit hard and unaccurate.. any suggestion? :D Btw bunnys are bug or they are like strafe in q3 and other games? Jumping for rail on proq3dm6 was more easy :P

I have not yet found an accurate way to bunny pounce with more than 1 hop. Occasionally it happens, but I don't think it has any rhyme or reason.

Bunny pounces are a bug, and comparable to strafe jumping in quake; although I'd say strafe jumping is easier with practice than bunny pouncing is with practice.

So, bunny hoping used as hunter is only one addiotional hop that gives like +7-10 dmg, anyway i will practice it :P

Well strafe jumping was only hard if u had to do max jump distance with 800ui or more (defrag maps ect), but thing that u was all time strafing in game helps a lot, here its just for a moment.

Where do you find your figures anyway? New generations of consoles appear every five years, not 1 or 2. Any (brand new at lauch) console with 3 games and 2 controllers has never been $800. Stick with facts.

@OOIEatte Let me just stop the debate right here. It's just a fact that a console is cheaper to buy, but that's because it plays all its games on the equivalent of medium settings for a PC. L4D is actually a great example of this. On a PC, I can play L4D1 on max settings and still get almost 200 fps consistently. My PC was around $1200 when I bought it 2 or 3 years ago, and that's only because I bought a really nice monitor that I can also watch TV on. My computer can still handle current games.

@OOIEatte And I'd like to also add that until the 360 came out (and ps3), new consoles were coming out ever 2-3 years. Check when the N64 came out, then the PS1, PS2/Xbox, Xbox360/PS3... Not much time between them. PC's are more versatile, more useful, have better graphics, and only need to be maintained, not completely replaced.

If you just want decent gameplay, get a console. If you want a useful machine that has a lot more bang for its buck, go with a computer.

I have a PC and an Xbox 360 and I can't pick a favourite. They both have their strengths and weaknesses.

A bought my PC 3 years ago with a Core 2 Duo, 4gb ram and 8800gts and i've kept the case, HDD (bought one more afterwards) and PSU while upgrading the rest.

As far as actual processing power, no console out today has the power of a modern PC. It's not even a debate. And yes, the games are different. On console, the graphics are set lower, you find more immaturity, some games have slight auto-aim, and the controllers hold you back.

i agree, but the auto aim can be set off and the graphics can be upgraded with a HD cable and a flat screen, and about the controllers, they might hold you back but after a few hours you will feel like you used them all your life, thats what happened to me i couldnt play killing floor but after 3 hours i was a master with the keypad and mouse, its the same with the controllers, well most of them the PS controllers are too small but as i said they have different types of gaming

Try binding jump to spacebar AND mouse 3. Use spacebar for standard gameplay jumping, use mouse 3 for bunny hopping. this will help tremendously.

It works the same. Pounce at a low angle, then press A just as you touch the ground, and it should continue on out. That's the basics.

Air control is the same in this game as in all other source-based games.

Curve Left: A + move mouse right

Curve Right: D + move mouse left

Slowing down: Hold/tap S as necessary

That's about as much as you can control in the air, with some more advanced techniques drawing from those basic concepts.

the fact is, i use this at least once in every vs campaign i play, and i hit it WELL OVER "1% of the time". in fact, i'd venture that over 80% hit.

standing still or moving is irrelevant. it's about when you choose to pounce. if the target is unaware, you have free damage whether or not they are moving.

this is hardly a technique either. In the video you kow where your victim is going to be.

all your doing is pefecting a pounce that is useful *if* a chracter is there and *if* the character is going to stand there.

in all likelyhood, this would be useful in about less than 1% in game. you would do your side more harm then good by just waiting around for this situation to occur.

The places he pounced were more or less in linear parts of the level meaning the Survivors ALWAYS go there. The Subway entrance, the small door towards the Crescendo in NM2 and so on.

The video is just showing that it is possible to do. Granted the Survivor isn't moving there's times when a Survivor gets bogged down by the CI and allows a Hunter to quickly do this technique.

I think the bunny hop is to let go the crouch and just hit the jump key. But like kraljevo said, the timing and angle must be very precise. An extra distance pounce it seems. Gonna try it myself.

crouching while doing this only offers one benefit: you can clear some close obstacles. like in the last jump, into the subway station, if you aren't crouched, your legs hit the top step and you come to a stop.
