  • NOTE: DO NOT POST ANYTHING VULGAR ON MY PAGE...IT WILL BE DELETED. Classy posts only, please.

  • SHE WAS THE FIRST CHARLIE'S ANGEL!

  • Charles Dierkop could have played a good Charlie Manson.

  • DVD NEWS-- Shout Factory is releasing Season Two on DVD--February 7, 2012!

  • @kentgraovac Yes it is! YAY FINALLY!!! Thanks for posting the info. I haven't had the time to get on here and do it myself.

  • Four seasons...wow

  • I watched some episodes of Policewoman when it was running... didn't do a lot for me. I never could figure out why Makeup never could do anything with Angie Dickinson's hair... she had the worse hair on TV for many years.

  • @mnpd007 It's true. Angie's hair was hit-and-miss..... WAY miss...

  • This started out as an episode of "Police Story", did it not?

  • @Grepple1234 It did. Actually, the first season was quite good.

But the '70s feminists descended on the show as Season 2 commenced, upset with the "sexy" angle on the character, and they did in the show with the network --- as a result, Angie became suppressed and so subsequent seasons weren't quite the same.

  • During the late 60s and early 70s, cop shows like Policewoman, Hawaii 5-0, The Streets of San Francisco, etc, showed how life on the streets really was. So realistic! Now TV land is reeking with reality shows!! WTF!

  • She was so hot, but what a horrible actress.

  • @TiminPhoenix No, PEPPER was a horrible actress!

  • Angie Dickinson was in her mid/late forties when she made this series and looking beautiful. Prior to the 1990's male/female actors were considered believeable being newlyweds, new parents etc in their late forties. Now,studios do not give new shows/remakes any time to succeed rather assume failure before many viewers realize when the program airs. Hence the reason we are all having to buy these DVD sets from 60's & 70's good TV. Thnx for the vid:)

  • @tarnsand If Only Sony would release the REST of this series on DVD tho. Season 2-4 are not on DVd.

  • @MsTexas73 Personally, I would rather see SHOUT! Factory Releasing the rest of the series as well as a re-editing of Season 1 since SONY Pictures, IMO is doin' a lousy job and plus, @ least we don't have to worry about those plastering logos either

  • @MsTexas73 I would like the rest of the seasons of police woman released also

  • @tarnsand i think more importantly older shows are just better.

  • @underwaterlady Yep! Defintely better writing overall and superb acting ability.

  • earlier seasons music much better

  • Ok, the reason I ask is because I've seen and pretty much know all the eps and that line doesn't ring a bell. So NOW that it bothers me I'll have to look for it.

  • My favourite moment from Police Woman was when she gets kidnapped by two robbers and she says to one of them, "When was the last time you were in the same room as soap and water"...

  • @airscrew1 Ok You gon make me hunt for that...cuz I sure don't remember that line...do you remember the episode?

  • @MsTexas73 I'm sorry I haven't a clue. All I remember is that I think she is kidnapped by a couple of bank robbers and one of them is quite a dirty smelly looking bloke and he asks her a question to which she gives that reply. I was probably only about 12 at the time so it's a long time ago.

  • @airscrew1 Thinking about the clues you've given me...I'm thinking it was the season 2 episode "Blaze of Glory".

  • YES ..MY GIRL JANE ... SHE WAS WHAT A BALCK BEAUTY LOOKED LIKE AND REPRESENTED IN THE 1970;S SHE PAM GREIR, TAMERA DOBSON

  • @sierria64 Jayne is on Way Black When with Sinbad this week on TVOne.

  • If You go to my uploads you'Ll see I posted more from this ep.

  • Great to see Jayne Kennedy in this clip. She had an announcing stint with CBS sports and made some B movies with her husband Leon Issac Kennedy. She also did a spread in Playboy back in the early 80's that helped get me through puberty!

  • @HeavyDutyBear Thank you for your post...RIGHT ON! I was a very little girl in the 70s, but I vividly remember watchign Police Woman with my Gram. It was one of her favorite shows (she LOVES police dramas) Pepper Anderson was a koo role model for litle girls. She was not only beautiful, but intelligent. She knew a lot of things about A LOT of things.

  • Good-looking, butt-kicking and tomboyish career woman.

    We need more of those.

  • Gold standard for sexy... Angie Dickinson in Police Woman.

  • Cool. Someone else noticed too.

  • Never noticed how much A.D. and

    Ellen Barkin favor each other

  • @yourunclehank1 Yep they sure do, Ellen could easily pass as Angie's daughter. A friend once told me to get this movie, This Boy's Life...mistakenly telling me Angie was in it. And I'm like, "No, I don't thinik that's Angie in that." Cuz Angie fan that I am I know just about all of her movies. Then it dawned on me that I had said movie at home and I remembered it was Ellen Barkin in it.

  • @yourunclehank1 And both with amazing legs.

  • @yourunclehank1 btw..Angie has also said that Martha Stewart looks like her....she's right...but so does Diane Sawyer.

  • My Mom was buried 22 years ago today and in remembrance I was going through all the TV intros of shows she loved and this was one of em. This show helps me bring her memory back a lot

  • @flymast1 Hi, I hope this post was able to fill you with warm memories.

  • Now THAT was a woman!!

  • Folks...if you're gonna post on MY page...please keep your comments clean...have some respect. Thank you.

  • Angie Dickinson will always be the gorgeous butt-kicking "Police Woman" to me...:)

  • @wlbaz Exactly. Because so much of what made Pepper who she was is because Angie is who SHE is.

  • Wow ! This Rocked !!!!!

  • when i was a little girl, i wanted to be pepper when i grew up. that or the bionic woman. i do think we had better role models when i was little. we had pepper, jaime summers, wonder woman, even charlie's angels. these were women who were tough and self sufficient. now, girls have britney spears, etc. i think we got the better end of the deal.

  • I agree.

  • @tranurse i totally agree i also wanted to be like jaime sommers orone of charlie`s angels.todays idols are either on drugs or having mental breakdowns not good for todays teens.

  • @foxyloxyloxy While we definitely got the better end of the deal and MORE role models...I think there are a FEW of them today...Olivia Benson is one. While her love life sucks...she's one hell of a cop. Also on #SVU, Melinda Warner is nothing to overlook. and there are a few other positive female characters out right now. Hawthorne comes to mind. The issue is that MOST kids don't watch those shows...by most, I mean a majority. But yeah...we totally had more positive female images.

  • @tranurse Thats what I tell myself as well. Even the male characters on tv had much better morales then today, I mean I watched tv and was a young kid in the early eighties. I mean we talk about how much society has progressed in 2011. progressed to what garbage (Real Housewives, The Bachelor, Lifetime network, Ultimate Fighting Champion,).

  • @vkoo32 Reality TV is killing television IMHO.

  • @vkoo32 yes, definitely a society in decline...

  • @tranurse Yep...we did.

  • @MsTexas73 Hi Ms Texas check out some of my favorites ! They are mostly Japanese tv shows and you might have a hard time understanding it but you will see strong sufficient woman's role that occcured around the same time as PoliceWoman.

  • They don't make'em like Angie anymore.."book'em pep"

  • I loved Police Woman thanks for making some youtube videos to watch. Jessie.

Angie Dickinson is amazing in the role.

  • Thanks for reminding of "ONE GREAT THEME SONG".

  • You're welcome.

  • Thought that was Jayne Kennedy.

  • That's Jayne.

  • nope.....Angie Dickinson

  • But they're referring to the actress in the actual episode...that's Jayne Kennedy.

  • okay.... I guess she must have been a stunt double....

    my bad

  • No...Jayne Kennedy is the BLACK WOMAN with the Long hair that you see in the teaser before the opening credits. She was the guest star of this episode...she was a well known model/actress in the 70s and 80s.

  • @MsTexas73 ohhhh I was wondering who she was....niiice

  • she used to be on nbc sports also, i think, it might have been cbs. anyway, she worked on sundays during football.

  • Police woman is one of the best shows. Anyone know where to get episodes. I have season 1 but I don't know if they will release any more.

  • I loved police women it was why I started my life of crime with the drugs, drinking and the pimps. One summer I wa even a bleached blond..lol

  • mmmkay...lol

  • ha. the one and only jayne kennedy.

  • Yeah...wonder what she's up to now.

btw...thanks to you for the comments. I will have to reward ya with more soon.

  • Great video clip. Angie Dickinson is soo beautiful.
