  • When I visited the house quite a few years back one hot summer I was saddened to find the the little 'lake' virtually dried out with just two beautiful dragon flies anxiously dancing over the muddy remnants of the water, the edge of the pond surrounded by wild blackberries.

  • hi SufitMusic - yes, very sad the lake is withering away - but how appropriate for the dragonflies to be there. i'm amazed that the house where the great dancer lived is not better kept up - hopefully it was just a temporary result of a hot summer. cheers!

  • hi Ewaasia

i'm very glad you've enjoyed the stuff i've posted - i'm continually surprised by what i find out there - and this keeps me searching for more!

thanks again for you kind words, best, nick

  • @LJBroussard - aucun problème mon ami

  • hello Ewaasia

    i think that's exactly righht

and the other little piece of footage which does the same is the one with her speaking - to swans by the lake of her home, ivy house

to hear her voice is brings her so much closer

    good to hear from you

    best, nick

  • Yes, of course I watched that video where we can hear her voice. It's sounds exactly the way I could imagine. She's so imponderable and ilusory. I like your channel very much because you bring to life so many dancers from Ballets Russes times. Thank you very much for that,

it's really brilliant and unique. I am always very touched to see such videos. I love Ballets Russes, Anna Pavlova, Olga Spessivtzeva, Tamara Karsavina. They are one of a kind and I miss that times very much.

    Best regards;)

  • There is something very, very magical and special about this one short piece and I think that in very specific way completes the image of Pavlova not only as a dancer but in general - just as a human being if I may say like that;)

  • hi lucylives

  • Pretty & natural - nice that she was like that in her private life.
