I have a solid black German Shepherd that unlocks any and all doors and windows. Our FLorida room is a glass room and he has learned to unlocke the window. It is so funny once he gets in he crawls on stomach to where we are and then lies down as if we don't see his 100 pound hinny. We then let him stay in for a while and then he is happy to go back outside. I can see why policepeople use these animals as police dogs. THey are so smart. He saved our litte shitz's life when he was a puppy.

my cat could open doors too! we have traditional round doorknobs, so he would jump on top of the doorknob so he was hanging from his belly, and then he would fall to the ground trying to twist it... he didn't always get it open the first time, so sometimes we would hear "bang, bang, bang" as he attacked the door. lol

years ago we had a cat that sort of "opened doors". our big, fat female would go into the basement and send the younger male to the kitchen after dinner. he could lift the lid on the garbage can and grab, say, a pork chop bone and race downstairs to share it with her majesty. though i doubt he ever got very much of the treat. cats can be really scarry kids.

That is adorable. What a smart kitty. BUT, this was so freak me out if I was home alone or sleeping in the middle of the night and you hear door handles start clanking and then nothing..... lol. I'm one of those girls that wakes my husband up atleast once a week though with, "I heard a noise" Ya, he doesn't dig it so much but I tell him it's in your contract of "husband" you have to check out all the noises in the dark.

Cats are amazing, lol. My cat jumps at the handle for the sliding doors to the deck (not going to have the same effect as a door handle) which gets her nowhere. She IS however, able to jump at the handle and flip down the lock to lock the doors.

@247cuckoo haha minnie can't do it, but she HAS pawed at the bottom of one of the doors to the point the carpet is fraying a little where the seam of the two rooms meet. The most trouble minnie caused was when she peed directly on brad in bed when she was a kitten.. I laughed so hard!
