You don't risk breaking the con rod with turning it over so long with an electric starter and finger on the muffler as you show. Then your next mistake is not discussing initial tuning, which in fact you aren't doing yourself. This engine should start with 1-2 flips of the prop. Improper use of an electric starter that long is no substitute for poor tuning. Adjust your idle screw, which you never mentioned. or show.
its a very old plane, it was given to me from an older guy at the field who died of cancer, i cant fly it now the wing broke and i dont know the name of the plane, do you?
a friend of mine gave me a gas plane several years ago and i have never even tried to start it. guess i will watch this vid again when i do have the time to take it up for the first time.
Wow, i think that plane has cancer.

Goodness, it's 90% fussing with the engine and 10% flying.

1) put throttle all the way up
2)put your finger over carb.
3)spin the prop with 12v starter.
4)after it's primed take your finger off and put it to 5% throttle. (the carb being just bearly open
5)put glow igniter on for about 10 seconds.
6)take it off.
7)spin with 12v starter
8)while doing this just tap the glow stick onto the glow plug and the engine will VROOM right up. do this to start it again in case it stopped.
