@TheStephenMendez Don't know much about the G27 but in my opinion there's not much difference. You'll like the G25 and if mine ever goes south I'll replace it with another G25 simply because I know it works great.
@TheStephenMendez Yes I do, I have the G25 Wheel and I don't know how I ever raced without it. It was a learning pain in the beginning but now I can't use the controller to save my soul, lol.
@pigboy05 I basically use the same setup for online racing as I do any other race. Make sure your final gear is set to a very low top speed because there are really no long straights to speak of. That is also one of the hardest tracks to pass on without hitting other cars or walls. Good luck man
Wow ur gear ratio settings combined with jorday's suspension/tire/brake/etc. settings really helped! Although I did add my own personal tweak, setting the TC way higher, turned Active Steering & ASM On, then raised ABS a few higher. Came in 1st on the the first 2 races, then I needed to suspend the race, as it's 4:27am on Black Friday! :) Much Thnx!!
@capcom4eva Glad I could give you some help. I've found that turning off the extra aids you will gain some speed but you do have to slow down for corners. I'm always messing different settings and what works for me might not suit you but my tunes will get you in the ballpark, thanks for watching.
@66lwmorgan I have a thousand times better transmission than anyone can come up with within the limits of gt5 thats used for track racing. Actually I have 2 of them. If you are the type to use 1st gear flip your trans (final to the right and top speed down) and put 1st to the left. if you did the "flipping" correctly, 1st to the left should be 5.300. 2nd at 4.191, 3rd 3.380, 4th 2.778, 5th 2.313, 6th & 7th to the right. Final at 3.294
@66lwmorgan the other setup where 1st is given up at the advantage of having closer gears from 2nd to 7th, 1st @ 5.300, 2nd 3.932, 3rd 3.254, 4th 2.726, 5th 2.313, 6th 1.986 and 7th 1.725. final is still 3.294. either trans setup you use you must flip the trans first in order to get these ratios.
@rabbit6964 That is the area going into most corners that have the red and white or blue and white pad the rumbles as you drive over them. Ride on them and they will help turn the car.
I just noticed that no 2 formula gt cars are exactly the same on their settings. some of your settings are too low or too high, depending on which formula gt. I had to improvise, but like I said it still worked. I was trying to help a buddy out and I was confusing him because the settings weren't possible for his car. so I told him what I just told you. hopefully he'll beat the championship as I did.
@thecurtisshow I didn't know that but I do know one particular setup for a car is not neccessarilly good for another. There is no perfect tune, it depends on your driving style as to what you like. I was trying to get people started but tweaking would need to be done for different cars, trial and error as I call it. I have 3 F GT cars and I can tune each one identical. I buy the car, change the oil, rebuild the motor and chassis to get maximun HP. Thanks for letting me now.
@TheDp321 About the only thing you can do is put downforce on the rear of the car. There are some cars that it just don't make any difference, I know what you mean so your only other option is to slow down.
@thecurtisshow One more note on GT cars, you can buy cars in the "online" section and they all come with 0 miles which means there will be an increase in HP (average of 10 to 15) not to mention they are half priced as well. Hope this helps your buddy and if he gets close to your setup, or mine he will win the championship without a doubt. 90% of that race is concentration, hitting your marks. Good luck buddy
@66lwmorgan I'm sure he'll do just fine :) I actually didn't have too hard of a time doing it myself, but it seems like the last 2 races took the most focus, especially Suzuka Circuit. One of those two I won by .012 of a second.
@thecurtisshow Excellent, I'm glad I could help someone out. Be sure to check out my video on how to setup your cars. It really does make a difference, thanks again.
@sourlemon78 All cars will not respond the same to this setup but this will get you close. I have a video on how I tune my cars. Its a start for most all cars but a tune is like a women, 1 woman is not good for all but they will get you started. There is NO perfect tune, its all about your driving style and what your comfortable with. Whats good for me might not be for you. Thanks for watching and good luck.
Hi, I am planning to do the FGT races very soon and I will try using these settings thnx for the help.. :) but I have one question b4 I start, what r rumble pads??
@TASTEmyLEAD321 Thanks for the comment. The rumble stick probaby isn't what there called but its the red and white bumpy section at each turn. If you can plant your tires on them while turning they will definetly help the car turn better but be careful because they can also turn you into a spin if you get on them to much. Check out my latest video on "how to set up your car". I use this method on all my cars, some tweaking is different for some cars. Thanks for watching and good luck.
@4IPWNGTA Excellent, thank you for the comment. Don't be afraid to raise the camber on the front on some cars, just test it. I've been turining it up 2.0 and does even better on some cars.
@iTzBilvey Oh yeah, until I got used to it. try my settings, add some TC and turn the skid recovery ON. Don't worry about the steering aids. Put full downforce on the rear and eventually just start easing back on the help. Good luck
@66lwmorgan trust my luck! Formula gt was in used dealership last night, tried to buy it, but u gotta be lvl 24!!! And now it isn't in there and hasn't been since!! :( psn better be up soon
@66wmorgan Thanks :) and ikno, sony said it'll be up during this week so i'll just wait, but im getting a bit bored doing just the indy speedway in american championship lol. I've got plenty of money though so I'm just saving for some other cars lol
@66lwmorgan OK, I'm a little bit confused .. 1. Why'd you get less money n more xp n a different prize car than the original video? 2. Your settings here, are they for ALL the races or just this particular one? Cuz they seem to be different from the original video, and which setting do I use? :S 3. Are you sure about the Soft tires on the rain? thX and pLzzzzzzzzzz answer, This car frustrates me with its unstableness!!!
@RaedVS I see what you mean, I used SOFT Racing tires in the rain, they grip the road better. The prize cars are the same. The car settings are for all races. If you need help turning put full downforce on the frt and less than 50% on rear. If your spinning out add more downforce to the rear. Race each track individually till you get used to the track then go for the championship. Hope this has helped
@RaedVS Use the settings in the video that says these are my settings or basically just do this.
Tires - Racing soft (Even the rain races)
Skid Recovery - On
Then use the ones in my video that says MY SETTINGS
Go to the track where there is rain and try for yourself the difference between rain tires and soft tires. I did and thats why I use soft tires in the rain.
@RaedVS Remember, you don't have to get gold in all the races to win the Championship but you do if you want both of the prize cars. I raced each race individually and got gold, then I raced the championship and won 5 of the 6 races but I still got everything because I already had gold in all the races. The race I lost was in the rain with rain tires (last place) pitiful race. I then switched to soft tires in the last rain race and smoked them thats why I use soft tires in the rain, good luck
@iTzBilvey It will appear once in awhile in the used car section but its always in the online cars but unfortunately with the network being down you can't get there either. As soon it comes back online go to the online car section, its about $4.5 million credits, good luck
@FellianTheDragon You can practice the tracks, go to the main page where A-spec, B-spec etc is and on the right side there is a "practice" section. Get the car you want and go to the track and practice. Thats the best place to work on your tunes.
@FellianTheDragon Ok, your right, I remember now. You could save 2 or 3 different tunes for 1 car at different tracks and then just click on the tune you wanted. That would be nice if that were an option.
I haven't reached level 30 on A-Spec yet so I can't do the race that wins me the Formula car. Which race was it that you win the Formula car instead of having to get lucky and buy it?
@SuperMrCODfreak I'm almost at level 37 and I still haven't won the Formula GT so as far as I know you have to buy it. I only have two more races to do and they are the two 24 hour races which I'm not going to race until there is a save game feature added. I also know the Formula GT car is not the prize car for either race.
@66lwmorgan Well I have heard from alot of people that at level 30 or 31 you unlock a race to win the Formula GT car. Since you haven't seen anything like that I don't think those people were telling the truth.
@SuperMrCODfreak The only other race I've unlocked was at level 30 and it was the Vettle Challenge, Thats where I got my X1 and I could only get Bronze in each race.
@66lwmorgan Wait, that what it was. The X1 not the Formula GT car. Ok so im now off to ge to level 30 and win the Vettle Challenge. By the way where is the Vettle Challenge when you unlock it?
@SuperMrCODfreak Go to the "Special Events" section, thats where the Nascar and some other races are. Scroll all the way to the right and you'll see it. Get Gold in all 3 races and you win three X1's, good luck
@SuperMrCODfreak It is a very tuff challenge, I learned several new cuss words before I finally got Bronze but keep racing it over and over and you'll eventually get at least one of them.
@wwethemes46 Thats strange, I assume you have the latest update? This option didn't become available until a few updates ago. After that update I was able to change all gears. Hopefully someone will see this and can add some information to it. Sorry it didn't work
@GarethEvs3 Did you set the brakes at 8 for front and 2 for the rear? Also you can go in to the settings and add more down force to the rear of the car, increase the ABS and TC alittle. I was the same way so keep at it, you'll get it.
@gt5isfun Oh I'm far from being the best GT5 driver but I certainly appreciate the comment. I hope these setting will help unless of course you've already completed the race, thanks again.
@Eugene4251 Thats strange, the only drastic changes I really made were to the first 3 gears, didn't mess with the last 4 that much. They should be pretty close to your default settings.
@Eugene4251 LOL, I hear ya buddy, it wasn't that bad, its the second time I've ran that race. The cars kinda suck for the amount of time it takes though.
