  • how did you create the eroded effect on all the visual elements in the video?

  • @SpenZoOR we have a few texture files that we use as overlays and track mattes.

  • Nice video.

May I ask you how did you realize animations? I mean, I use after effects to create video, but it is impossible to make animations like people walking, just like in this video. How did you made them? thank you

  • @colombolele I use the puppet tool in after effects for most of the character animations.

  • nice vid

  • At the small business where I work and have encountered groupon customers I can attest to their general cheapness and energy consuming presence.

  • @epiksonik I would think those same people would be cheap with or without Groupon. Can't blame Groupon for people being jerks.

  • @BradChmielewski

I can blame groupon for allowing customers to behave as if businesses like to cater to spendthrifts and freeloaders, people that are usually jerks to begin with. I know I sound like a jerk, but I don't like hustlers...of any variety.

  • A very effective video......great!

  • @DEALCRU Thanks! Had a lot of fun working on this video.

  • Have you heard about the Groupon Income System? It shows you how to make money with Groupon.

  • Really awesome animation! How long did a project like this take to make?

  • @maddogrpm thanks! It took about a month from start to finish.

  • Groupon is a great website, mostly for the small business. This website presents great deals drawing the consumer to a small business that they would not have originally gone to. This is not bad seeing that I believe capitalism is BOSS. However, it only benefits the consumer if said consumer intended to visit the selected small business to begin with.

  • @casspiper actually, the only one this is good for is groupon. and the retards are fooled into it. I mean seriously, no spammer can get one percent of emails he sends read but groupon can all of them? lolamerica

  • I compare this to the “handbag argument”. a woman strolls past a store with handbags 50% off in the window. She is carrying a handbag that is neither worn or out of season. However she cannot resist the deal. The woman goes home and presents her newly purchased prize to her husband awaiting recognition for a fine job of saving the family money.

  • However, the husband begins to question the gleaming wife. Did you need a new handbag. No, but it was on sale and I saved 50%. If you didn’t need a new handbag you did not save anything. Yes I did, I just told you I saved 50%. No, you spent 50%. No, I saved 50%. No, if you did not need the bag anything over 0% is a loss.

  • Take Groupon. The nearest city on the site is Boston. Unless I live in or near Boston I am already losing money from gas and wear and tear on my vehicle. Then I lose money going to a restaurant that sells Italian food half off, because now while in Boston I may as well look around. When I return home I justify my purchase of a new watch, a tie, some fine chocolates by the purchase of a bowl of ziti that I got 50% off.

  • @casspiper If you are willing to spend that money on other items you didn't need you would of done it with or without a Groupon at some point. You're just lumping Groupon into the general over consumerism culture.

  • @BradChmielewski maybe. but that is an assumption. I didnt say Groupon was bad, however you cannot deny that it puts the consumer in a position to spend more (unless the consumer intended to purchase the sale item to begin with). that is the purpose of any business, offering sales to bring the public in to the store. when does the business owner look to lose money?

  • How do you earn more money from the Group Buying Deal?

    bookitlive

  • great work as always brad

  • Be careful of using groupon. Their advertising is deceptive. In the subject line of their emails they will make a blanket statement of 50% off of shoes and then when you actually look at the discount you will find that that percentage is based off of a particular value coupon...

  • @mordred612 ,,,This means you purchase a coupon for $60 at the amount of $39 giving you a 50% discount. If you purchase a pair at a higher amount your discount will drop. What they should say is 50% off of a $60 coupon to be more clear, but being clear isn't the point. They also create a sense of urgency by giving a time limitation. That is a classic bait and switch tactic.

  • @mordred612 Can you tell me more about this. We are launching a very unique Daily Deal site, but with some major twists. WE WILL BENEFIT THE MERCHANT IN A HUGE WAY, far greater than what Groupon offers. Shoot me a message (not here but to me) and I will send you details. In the mean time, please tell me more about what you are talking about here. Thanks, Anthonhy

  • Check this out its like groupon in a way.

  • Brad, I love this video. I'm working on a similar small project for a college course, we must highlight a thirty second ad, animated or live, and I chose animated. I'd love to craft my project similarly to yours. Could you tell me how you did it, what program was used? Is it too complicated for a college student?

  • @jessical5683 it was all made in After Effects using shape layers and the puppet tool. Feel free to send an email if you have any other questions.

  • @BradChmielewski Thank you so much! I'll toy around with it and see if I can get anywhere. :-)

  • @BradChmielewski why was this company on WATCHDOG UK..??

  • Seeing the commercial, groupon apparently works fucked-up...

  • Great video. Check out magikbeans. com to read about Ireland's answer to group buying

  • Grouproundup com is a good Groupon aggregator that will show you national deals you can use no matter what town you live in because they're redeemable online.

  • "just enter your NAME AND CREDIT CARD" and then wait for enough people to join?

    sounds like a con...

  • @gooshnpupp googles trying to buy this, i dont think its a scam bro.

  • @gooshnpupp it is a con, it was on watchdog.. beware people

  • @gooshnpupp You're not charged unless enough people buy it! Groupon has made a TON a money! I know how to get in on some of that! Just check out my channel! :)
