I just want to say, as an agnostic and huge lifelong metalhead, this song is the single radest thing I have ever heard. It gets stuck in my head ALL day, everyday lately, the ending guitar riff is amazing. I wish more secular metalheads would give Christian metal a chance as I think a lot of it like this is bad ass whether you believe the message or not. I listen to a lot of "satanic" metal as well and I certainly don't worship Satan. As the lyrics say you're free to do what you want to.
I remember coming home from school in the late 80s and turning on Mtv's top 10 with Martha Quinn. This song was #1 for like two weeks and stayed in the top 10 for months. It ran along with Madonna, Michael Jackson, Duran Duran, Paul Simon, and the like. The riff is engaging, yet mellows, as it warbles at the end. The guitar solo's robust layers. The medium tempo and singers' harmony reminds me of Queen's style. you know what I mean?
All these years and I still feel the power of their message. You can tell the Lord is still in this music today, 25 years later. Funny thing, their still around reaching out to us all. God works in mysterious ways. I know I've walked away but He's always still there waiting for me to come back to his arms.

I was at this concert when I was in 7th grade at the Saenger Theater in New Orleans. My mom brought me on a school night...poor thing! They shot a lot of footage for this video during the concert. I wish I could find my t-shirt!

This group Stryper and White Lion are two of my favorites' from that time period back in the day when I was growing up in Wallingford Ct . They are both really great class acts in my book with alot of talent. Definitely love it.

I was at this concert when I was in 7th grade at the Saenger Theater in New Orleans. My mom brought me on a school night...poor thing! They shot a lot of footage for this video during the concert. I wish I could find my t-shirt!

no one preached to head bangers and metal heads better than stryper, truely one of my favs from the 80's, i mean at partys we would jam to priest, maiden, metallica and then in between throw in some stryper and no one ever questioned it, they just flowed with it

@jesusluvsme54321 Funny you should say that! Years ago, I read an interview on them in a metal magazine where Oz Fox had a stuffed bumble bee, and said he should make it the band's official mascot.

This group Stryper and White Lion are two of my favorites' from that time period back in the day when I was growing up in Wallingford Ct . They are both really great class acts in my book with alot of talent. Definitely love it.
