@ejdejd1 My guess would be the guitars action as the strings are quiet far away from the fretboard. But personally ive always been able to get sound out of the guitar by just pulling off and hittting the strings its my style of playing, let the guitar do the work :)
@l8766654321 no the guitar is a 12 string he just doesnt have the octive G string on the model is still a 12 string lol lets not get technical we both KNOW what he uses , with the exception of his maton custom guitar where the truss rod has been removed and a wave has been carved in its place which looks badass :P
Oh wow that was lush =D Nicely played! I cant wait to learn it. I checked out your detailed version of this tutorial too! Thanks alot =D and loving the accent =)
Thanks!! i know its no reason to choose a guitar but thats what drew me towards it but it sounded good aswel and the actions high enough for a slide too :D
Thanks it took like a whole summer to leanr and a lil more work here and ther to perfect it i have a new tutorial on it just uploaded check it out i hope it can help :)
hey man do u rekon u cud email us a version of what ure playing so i can look and watch u play while learning, cuz that ultimate guitar version is very different (Y)

Your version is GREAT!!! You made it sound celtic. One favor....can you tab what you are playing. I'm still not getting the g pluck in between. And I'd rather learn your version than the original!!
Awesome tutorial! just plucking the 2 strings makes it a bit easier to play
I got a question or two though ; when you played played in the tutorial, you pluck every string in the fast part. Is it better to than using your nail to play the 'ending' of the fast part? [from the tab you have, when it goes to low C and then up the neck, nd the fast part starts again]
Other q. you obviously seen john butler videos =p would you know if having longer fingernails helps with the strumming in the song?
Firstly the tab itself showed me where the note positions are then i worked it out myself i pluck up the neck in the pattern shown. dont let "my made up" part confuse u.
2nd question, YES my nails are longer than average it has its advantages and gives u a fuller sound, although they are hard to maintan and its sou destroying when they break lol
and my girlfriend hates tht her boyfrind has longer nails than she hahah
hey man... i love this song but i cant quite see whats going on... is it possible for you to tab it out or something or make a link in the description for it because its a bit fast for me... don't know about everyone else but yeah... anyway i love the tut anyway lol... keep going with it (Y)
I'm still struggling with the trend on the part of a number of young players, to make the guitar represent the drums, the base, the rhythmn and the lead, all at the same time.
I've been known to whack the body of the guitar in some songs myself, but I'm still tryin to decide if what I'm hearing lately is truly inventive and creative, or just a misuse of the guitar.
I guess it's "fine" but it'll take some time before I give it its due.
Its a kindof new thing to me, i think anyway that you can make the guitar make a sound as long as your using the strings it counts as playing it IE the eric mongraine (dont know about the spelling) hi song "airtap" is beutiful and he taps the strings but i do know what u mean some people just smash the crap outta it and try and say there playing it. thanks for ur coment :)
wow man, I didnt know anyone else could actually play this besides JBT lol
Kudos to you my friend

How do you make the strings sound so loudly when you hit them with your fingers? my guitar makes almost no sound when i try it

when you play the fast part do you mute when you play the open g-string and if you do, how do you do it?
