hii..ive been using the normal navigation on the galaxy ace but its really bad..it doesnt re-routes itself if i dont follow the directions...and when i dont follow..the screen becomes blurry saying data connection lost!! :S cud someone help me on what app i shud download??
I am thinking to buy GPS, but is ACE is so good, what is the point. Can pleas anyone tell me if this papago x5 or whatever this is is for free or how much does it cost, and also do you have to constantly be connected to Internet?
@myterribletube Papago is not free about 30 USD for the software the current version is X8.5 but not available for android. Garmin not available for Android, otherwise its a much better option all round. With either Garmin or Papago you don't need to internet connection it work with in build GPS receiver.. another option is Igo its almost similar to Papago. The down side about papago is its software is regional, you need different version for different region.
im using samsung galaxy ace, but the problem is the gps took a really long time to detect the satellite.. i wonder if siiting inside the car makes the gps hard to locate our location.. should we stand outside the car to make it faster
swanlisan- the satelite icon with the question mark means it is has no GPS lock on ur current position. See if there's an option to switch on ur GPS receiver on the phone settings. If u are using android 2.2, it should be under : settings>location>click on Use GPS satelites.
Hopefully then u should have a lock on ur location. The GPS receiver needs 4 satelites to lock on your location. U must not be indoors. Try doing it outdoors

I have a Galaxy Ace too and just installed the Papago X5 for My & Sg on my device. However when I try to to detect my current position, I always seem to be stuck in position somewhere in KL when I'm actually at PJ. There's also small satellite icon on the top right hand corner with a question mark that keeps blinking. Any advice as to what the problem is here? Would appreciate any help. Thanks!
@xNzzyz Accessories slowly coming in, its a good phone. The price is just right for me, I am not willing to pay premium anymore for something that I will replace in less than 2 years.
The inbuild browser is good, it work on most site, flash is not that important to me, if you need flash then I would recommend to get a 1Ghz processor speed Android, this Ace is 800 Mhz, flash don't work at this speed. Maybe they will redo flash to get it going on these but I don't know.
@wheels2wheels yeahh flash is not important to me as well.. but since i was a new to android phone. what u do to save your battery from draining ? btw. how did u get yr papago x5 pre installed or buy for yrself ??
Cool video, thanks a lot! Would you tell me what kind of holder you are using for the Samsung? I am looking for a good one, but haven't found one yet =/
