these kind of bands, Best Coast and Dum Dum Girls, not meaning to put them in same bucket or pigeon-hole them or anything, have some powerful but simple songs. looking at the lyrics they're very straightforward but carry their own power with the mood and melody. it just all fits fantastically .the thing about them is, particularly with Best Coast is, they may not seem that serious but i value them as seriously as most bands today. they have it right.
