Where I fish "keeper" size is between 35 and 45 cm ( 13.75 - 17.75 inches) plus you are allowed to keep one walleye over 70 cm ( 27.5 inches)

In the summer where I fish I am usually fishing for walleye in 25 to 45 feet of water. They can be found shallower too - especially early in the morning (when I am sleeping!) and later in the evening.
