I do this all the time and cross their legs for them. I'm very flexible and have good dexterity so I don't use my hands which means they don't see it coming. I've caught just about everyone that gets my back. It's funny because I've seen you guys' Muay Thai videos but never this.
I guy i roll with was claiming to be able to submit with similar foot locks without even having the feet crossed. I thought he was full of it until he applied it to me and it was extremly uncomfortable. Like i said no feet crossing just simply having my hooks in was good enough for him to do his move. How do i position my feet so i dont get caught in crap like that?

so basically to pull this off your opponent has to be skilled enough to take your back but dumb enough to cross their feet and/or let you cross them for him?
thats a stupid thing to say thats like saying your opponent has to be stupid enough to give you an armbar all submissions are about catching your opponent off guard and maneuvering them to where you want them to be this is no different
actually when you cross your feet, it helps to hold on to someone. I used to do MMA and in a fight, i had the rear naked choke, the guy was strong enough to up and it was by holding on with my feet that he eventually tap out for air but if my feet weren,t cross i would have let go but he didn't know this trick.
nah man crossing the feet doesn't do too much to help and its really dangerous, if you pulled it off thats great for you but there are better ways to deal with people who try to muscle out of back mount
yeah but if you do this in a fight against a normal person prepare to be socked in the back of the head......(ufc rules no hits to the back of the head)
This is a grappling move, if it was a normal person on the streets what are the odds hes going to know how to get back control or be able to pull it off on you in the first place.
@judosquad What makes you so sure a person that has a habit of picking fights and assaulting people in the street are going to be completely oblivious to MMA and BJJ?
@judosquad yeah thats when you choke the cunt out, in a street fight what are the chances of him trying to take you down people just brawl an throw punches in the street if ur gunna use jujitsu in a real fight you gotta be the one to take it to the ground tbh.
This also works if you dont have access on using your arms. One foot can cross on top of opponents and the other foot can come under and help twist the ankle. This is a true demonstration of turning a defensive position into an offensive position. What I described is similar to the motion one would do with the ankle twist escape from the full guard you have up.

The way I learned this you cross your top foot over his top foot rather than the way it's demonstrated here. Is there some reason that's an issue?

I used this ONCE in my gym and they told me not to use it again until im a blue belt because if you go to far and shatter it.......yeah...

@niekon2600 do a body triange or anaconda lock around his body its tighter and provides better controal anyway
