  • when I found it 4 years ago I had it one repeat 9 hours for one week

  • she is just brilliant and this vid is amazing

  • I've just spent over 2 hours finding this song, remembering only a glance of the video clip and the fact, that the singer was either Japanese or Chinese...

    It was worth it :)

  • WOW.. 词曲 王菲

  • It's actually a very sad song with calm appearing

  • 好听!

  • I am searching for bu liu, but like a remix. There was one, a beatiful one on IMEEN. But asshole Myspace took it over and i couldn't find it anymore. I really hope that someone is reading this and know what the heck am talking about. Like am yearning for it for already 3 years.

  • What happened to the volume !!?? Or is it just me

  • I still love her songs. Faye Wong FTW. Shame I became a fan of hers after she sang the theme song for FFVIII

  • It's so pretty... The Mandarin in this song is so beautifully spoken, if only I could go to China... Sigh... I don't even know any Chinese people...

  • @Graddee It's funny because in my experience most non-Asians find the Chinese language quite unpleasant to the ears... perhaps Faye's voice can overcome that

  • @shinsenrc

it's not like that, i find some chineese annoying as well. I'm chineese to. It is just the way they use it. The voice, loud or soft. It seems some of them don't take the time. It's like that, the chineese people grow in a up coming country with a lot of rush. With more then 10million people, they need to shout to get recognized. It seems, at least for me.

  • @Graddee Im chinese, and im so fond of icelandic music~may we can FRIENDS each other.

  • long time favourite

  • translating these awesome lyrics into english does not encapsulate the essence of this song... just enjoy them as they are...

see you in Beijing in a few weeks...

  • indeed a heavenly voice, to him or he the speechless agony is unbearable.

  • ENGLISH TRANSLATION : [Part 1 of 2 Posts] I give you (my) essence give him (my) days I give you smiles give him leniency i give you thoughts & longings give him time I give you tears give him responsibility I give you photographs give him calenders I give you colours give him scenery I give you distance give him silence I give you fireworks give him festivals I give you the cinema tickets give him the seats I give you candlelight give him dinner
  • @jumponthebandwagon [Part 2 of 2 Posts] I dedicate the song to you give him the microphne Give you the sound give him the drawings I give you the plot give him the conclusion I give you crystal glasses give him 12 O'clock I give you (my) heart give him (my) body any hope of love none left there'll be no more hanging ups If I still have any sadness let the wind blow it away If I have any happiness Maybe
  • lovezwx is spot on... voice from heaven. If angels are real, they would have a voice like Faye. So beautiful.

  • It should be replaced from Faye to Fairy!

  • i have no clue what the mandarin is about, but i love this song!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @GreenCurtains10 If you would like to know,

she's singing as the girl who has lost her partner to another girl.

And she's giving away all her possessions to her former partner and the other girl.

    And within the chorus,

she's saying it's favorable to give everything away to them

without leaving anything behind. Therefore, nothing left to worry about.

Furthermore, if there is still some pain left,

allow the wind to sweep it away.

And if she still has happiness... maybe.

  • Faye is beautiful in every way...

  • Wowies Faye Wong

    has such a gorgeous voice<33

  • This is a favorite of mine for more than a year... just wonderful song

  • I really like this...how is the whole cd?

  • @gladrock The whole album overall is quite good, one of those CDs where you can listen to pretty much the whole thing without skipping any tracks. I was pleasantly surprised given some of her other CDs I'd listened to, where there were a few really good songs hidden between a lot of filler.

  • @gladrock is very beautiful.....this song from JiangAi.

  • It's the 3rd track on 2003 Album To Love: "不留" (Bù Liú) 4:23 "Leave Nothing"

  • Oh this song

makes me cry and happy at the same time (without even understanding the lyrics!)

  • i just love it.

    it's just so deep...

  • This is a timeless piece of music. The CD is always in my car while I'm travelling.

  • thank you =] lol I google but i cant find either way sounds like a great song <3

  • Where can I find translation to this song v.v?

  • @RadioJunkieGirl just google it, it's there:)

  • The lyrics is so beautiful and touching. You should read it.

  • she's the asian bjork:))

  • this is a fuckin cool song

    the lyrics are amazing!

  • For some reason this MV reminds me of the RING video. Must be the coloring, erratic movements, and Faye's appearance.

  • Did anyone checked the translation of this music????

Then you should, cuz thats AWESOME

I am in love with Faye now......

  • She is fantastic...

  • You are the past repression of mankind Zeetana.

    You don't belong here anymore.

    Go away.

  • Faye so pretty!

  • las canciones de esta mujer me relajan mucho.

    me encanta¡¡

  • asian music has more feeling then american music i like both but i would say asian is better

  • Stereotype much? Some of the most passionate performers I've seen and most emotional songs I've ever heard were American.

  • im american but its just something american music doesnt have if u listen carefully

  • I feel the same, but you must accept that the Asian population does have it's selection of mainstream crap. I think it'd be easier for a foreigner to find better Asian music because they woulnd't be subjected to the mainstream of Japan (or any other Asian country). all day long. Instead, they can find some beautiful selective songs; like this one. For it is an amazingly beautiful song.

  • That was very beautiful.

  • a lot of here stuff is on iTunes... i'd rather have CD quality but it's better than nothing.

  • Faye Wong can sing the best in Alternative style, see how marvelous she can sing in Mandarin 4 tones lyrics, imagine how powerful she is in Cantonese 9 tones lyrics during her Cantonese era..

  • always amazed at the powerful beauty of this video and song put together. 多谢啦!

  • So beautiful. I love this song!

  • I love this song

  • Great Faye !!!

  • whyy am i crying and smiling at the same time lol!? This is so beautuifullllll even though i don't knwo what she's saying yet.

  • So she is talking about sharing one another?

  • She's torn between loving two people.

The verses are pretty interesting. She's addressing one of the guys and saying "I gave you this, I gave him that."

I gave you my heart, gave him my body- that type of thing.

    Really sad song.

  • Do you know the name of this album? I can never find this song anywhere

  • Is this from Fable ?

  • @Gaarlee I believe it's from her 2003 album "To Love."

  • Jiang Ai

  • @MrHeavySilence2 is it just me, or does anyone else feel that she actually likes the guy she's talking to more (her heart is w/ him) but she's committed to the other guy (he has the body)... like she might have married "him" while still thinking of "you".. sad =( but in the end, is slightly encouraging. After first chorus, she just keeps saying "if i have sadness then let wind blow it away. If i have happiness..." then she trails off. At the end though, she concedes "maybe". that's good start =D

  • @MrHeavySilence2 hmmm more of deeply in love with some1 but stick to another out of guilt/responsibility...asian suppressive culture

  • the "popular belief" was that she's talkign about her ex-husband (dou wei) and ex-bf (nicholas tse)

it seems that the song is about the fact that she's perplexed about why it is possible for her to "split" her love between 2 pp...with equal force

but if that's the case...love would be meaningless...that's why she "prefers that nothing is left, such that there would be no sorrows"

  • i like your comment, good points...

though my first impression is that the stuff that she gave "him" is more superficial than the stuff that she gave "you". So it seemed to me at the time that "you" came before "him", and she is saying she gave "you" all the stuff from the heart, but nothing happened. He was the one that ended up with all the action, but heart is already gone. Now nothing's left. IF there's something left, as you said, let it go "such that there would be no sorrow".

  • But then is like a part of her is challenging herself saying this mentality of "even if something is left, I'd rather discard that too so there would be no sorrow" is making a big assumption anything that is left will be sorrowful. What if there's happiness? The first 2 verses she doesn't answer herself, as she doesn't really believe anything else good can happen. At the end of the song she lets up a bit and admit, almost a bit longingly, "maybe. maybe there can still be happiness. we'll see,"

  • you came to the wong place!

  • my favourite.

  • to me the song means "i gave my spirit to you, i gave my ego to him" "i gave my internal to you, i gave my external to him"

    very ying-yangy :)

  • that's my favo from Faye Wong *-*

    I love this song...

  • one of the best track on her 2003 將愛 album. its mah favvvvvvvvvvorite! ;D

  • I gave voice to you, Images to him I gave story to you, but the ending to him I gave crystal shoes to you 12 o'clock to him Chorus: I gave heart to you, body to him and rather nothing to be left then nothing's going to haunt my mind If I still have sadeness let the wind blow it away... If I still have happyness who knows...maybe...
  • What is this song about? (Please answer in English. Thx.)

  • Most of the lyrics are

    "I gave ___ to you,

    gave ___ to them"

(The two blanks are different but related things :D)

During the chorus she says..."There's nothing left...If I still have sadness, let the wind blow it away. If I still have happiness..."

I don't really know what this song's about-about though. I just know what she's singing. xD Probably about some bad thing in the past about two boyfriends...>.> Don't listen to me though, I'm probably wrong.

  • Two boyfriends? O.O *surprised*

    Anyway thx 4 translating! ^^

  • does anyone know who made this MV? this is so beautiful.

  • 黃中平 Huang chung ping

  • 我觉得窦唯还是喜欢王菲的

    才华横溢的摇滚青年

    硬生生的被媒体变成了王菲的丈夫

    年轻的爱最后输给了年轻的倔强

    现在彼此应该都很怀念吧

  • Ive been looking for this song everywhere!!! can anyone send it to me?? i even bought a faye wong compilation album when i was in hong kong last and IT WASNT ON THERE!!!!

  • 有时候当我们太执着於拥有或挽留一样东西或一个人时,那只会给我们带来不必要的痛苦。相反的当你放松你紧握不放的双手时,你可以拥有更多。

Giving you the plot, him the ending

Giving you glass slippers, him the clock striking twelve

  • Giving you my heart, him my body

If I still may have sorrow, let the wind blow it asunder

  • Jiang Ai

  • it is so beautiful, faye is really a talented singer. i love the sadness expressed by this song

  • my all time favorite song^^

    all shared no thing left.

  • I'm so glad I decided to start looking for more of Faye's songs. This, as are all of her songs, is simply beautiful, and so is her. Hair, outfit, make up, just perfect.

  • Faye is a genius. Beautiful music and meaningful lyrics and of course beautiful voice. She is the one and the only one.

  • this song, this mtv, the make up, the hair and the tone rock big time!

  • brilliant song

  • Faye is the best~

  • i really like this song i really do but does any one get the feeling of the ring video but it is an extremely well constructed music video

  • Me encantan los videos que subes!

  • Tu entiendes Mandarin?

  • doess anyone know where to dl this song??/

or can someone be kind enough to send to me pleeeaaase ?

  • I love her hair in this video. How can I get it cut like this ?!

  • Love this song so much, this song is actually one of my fav faye song.

Its true that everyone has unspoken secrets and love, but life isnt perfect, we may end up with the wrong person, but our feelings are always true.

This song is almost religious.love it.

  • Lovely song. It's very relaxing and chill; it's getting my through my studying! As for the video, I love the mix of simplicity and discrete/powerful "images". It's all so very wonderful! Thank you for sharing.

  • this song is marvellous! faye's own creation rockxxx =)

  • thank you for uploading this song.. i love it:))

  • this is my favorite faye song..

  • It is one of my favourtie song of the album too. I wish she has not retired but is her choice. Good luck to her.

  • i wonder if she wrote this for one of her ex.... first husband seems completely unlikely since he was a bastard.... but maybe nicholas tse? maybe her new hubby...

  • 这是我最喜欢的MV.王菲真是出色的。

Adoro este MV; Wang Fei é demais!

  • i love this vedio very much!

  • Definitely my favorite MV; it's so delicate and surreal.

The artistic direction flows well with the music and the color scheme fits the mood.

  • cool, thanks for translating the lyrics.

By the way, is this in her "to love" album?

  • yes. 将爱 album

  • One of my favorite tracks from Jiang Ai
