I watched the movie first before reading the Manga; I have yet to read the Novel. They did a pretty good job with the movie I must say. Though I prefer how Kiriyama is portrayed in the manga and hes not necessarily just a 'kid who signed up for fun'. I didn't like the supernatural element in the manga i.e. the insane jumps and the dumb DBZ blasts. Too bad they didn't introduce any backstory on Mitsuko, would've pushed the film into new territory.

You didn't played games in the past, mate. It's a fact, that the older games, or the first games of all series (like Silent Hill, or Resident Evils, maybe MGS too) the best, and the fourth, and fifth ones already in the trash bin, 'cause the lack of fantasy. So you shouldn't say that. I can't say there is no good game, but nowadays, it's a waaaay too few as the great games' number as not a long time ago.

You are right, my way of telling wasn't the clearest, I went a little too far in this. Yes, I played Alan Wake, the other two is forbidden to me, 'cause I don't like the sci-fi games. Alan Wake was awesome, but somehow... I counted more, than the game has given to us. It's way too short than I excepted.. And thx, I really appreciate your kindness. : )

In this movie I saw lot of things from the true humans. How a friendship can die because of the fear. And how a TRUE friendship can survive over all the fear, the stress and the death.

A sad movie showing how humans can be, and how they can change in some situations.

Also, a sad song too, but happy at the same time.

A film to remember.

However, I am among those who began to know BR with the film, and I should say that it is not bad at all, even though I think they totally disfigured the wonderful Kazuo Kiriyama image !
