Joplin was insanely good in both composing and playing. The original speed for the music is just incredibly fast, and the song is hard to play even at very low speed.

The Sting won Best Picture in 1973, the year I was born, and it is my favorite movie. I love Redford, Newman and The Entertainer! A local department store used to have a lady playing the piano and I would always request The Entertainer and she would always play it. Love it.

all of the actors in the movie considered it to be the 'perfect' script with all of the cons, backstabbing, scams, gangsters, and such. the especially loved the music and considered it to be another 'character' in the movie because although ragtime was 20 years in decline when this movie takes place (1936) it fits the situations so perfectly.
