Honestly Shane West sings well, and to be honest from what I've seen in videos (haven't seen either version of Germs live) I think Shane is better on stage. Though at the same time, Darby was the driving force behind and song writer of the Germs but, hie is dead and nothing gonna change that. If somebody was born too late and wants to see the closest thing to the germs thats great, if you don't want to see it, well then don't watch.
