Scientists are constantly changing what is true and what is not and often times it is based on a scientists preconceived notions as to what to expect. There is actually a lot of scientific evidence supporting a young earth if you were to research it for yourself. The truth is, Origins science is not science at all. It can not be repeated, it can not be observed. Evidence is often chosen to fit the desired outcome.

The verse states that the Anti Christ wont be revealed till the presence of God is removed from the earth and the only way that is possible is to take up (rapture) the Body of Christ. As a "Bible Belt" Christian, we are not scared of the rapture...but more look forward to it. The rapture is not a bad thing. It is a promise made by God that He will spare His children (bible belt or not) from the chaos of the tribulation. The Bible, when taken in context, says the dead in Christ will rise first and then the body of Christ. The pre-trib part comes of the verses in Thessalians

@ graiegragg - 2 Thess 2-11 is talking about the people who did not want to accept the word of God and regected it and that God shall hardend their hearts and let them be decieved by the devil beacause they did not want to belive in him. It does not mean that God is lying to us about his word. And the word Rapture is defined in 1 Thess chapter 4
The word "RAPTURE" is no where to be found in the HOLY SCRIPTURES. @crazeart The bible could also be referring to the "church" or religion as a whole being "taken away" or raptured, not necessarily its people being taken away and spared from the tribulation period. As if people were no longer interest in going to church or not allowed to. No I don't think so. Some of the 'big' moral questions such as murder might be considered absolute. But then what about wars that countries start by using the words "a justified war".... maybe it is justified. But there will still be many innocents killed. I have spent the last two years studying the Genesis account of creation. I also have a science background so I am studying it from that angle. That being said, I stand corrected on the order of the creation in the first chapter. There is a lot of debate on the first chapter on Genesis even in bible believer circles. Not afraid at all. I probably attended church as long as you are old. I was an atheist the whole time, and I bet I was the only one there that actually listened. I enjoyed the sermons, but I certainly didn't believe any of the supernatural stuff. As for the bible, it was written years after the actual events took place. None of what is written can be taken as 'truth'. Other than the bible, nothing else has anything written about jesus... nothing!! ... skeptical..??? you bet I am!

As for the life AND resurrection of Jesus I can site several accounts of His life written by secular historians that corroborate His existence, death and ressurection. Two of these people, Josephus and Tacitus, were in fact non believers at the time of their writings. It is documented in antiquities and verifies that Jesus lived, died and was seen after His death. Would you like proof of this because I have it?
It is widely believed the Josephus account is a blatant forgery. Tacitus was born around 56 AD.. enough said. Like I said, there is no account of jesus written by anyone who actually physically met him. None... During the period when jesus was supposed to have lived, many historians wrote, but none ever mention jesus. Sorry, I am still very skepical. As a "Bible Belt" Christian, we are not scared of the rapture...but more look forward to it. The rapture is not a bad thing. It is a promise made by God that He will spare His children (bible belt or not) from the chaos of the tribulation. The Bible, when taken in context, says the dead in Christ will rise first and then the body of Christ. The pre-trib part comes of the verses in Thessalians

The "rapture" or "catching away" of the church is very real and will happen. The strong delusion you are referring (reading scripture in context) takes place after the rapture of the church for those who are left behind and will believe the lies and delusions of the anit-christ.

@crazeart The bible could also be referring to the "church" or religion as a whole being "taken away" or raptured, not necessarily its people being taken away and spared from the tribulation period. As if people were no longer interest in going to church or not allowed to. I think, just has this video shows, "the rapture" is a nice way to scare people into believing, but IMO it boils down to what you believe in your heart and how you live your life with the choices we make.

But then what about wars that countries start by using the words "a justified war".... maybe it is justified. But there will still be many innocents killed. The bible is full of atrocities that any modern person would think were horrible, but then people explain them off by saying "Oh that was the old testiment, things were different then".

I have spent the last two years studying the Genesis account of creation. I also have a science background so I am studying it from that angle. That being said, I stand corrected on the order of the creation in the first chapter. There is a lot of debate on the first chapter on Genesis even in bible believer circles. It's estimated 200 million people were on earth in Noah's day when God sent the flood. Only 8 were saved. There was an estimated 200,000 people in Sodom and Gomorrah when they were destroyed. Only 3 were saved. Of the at least 3 million adult Israelites that left Egypt and wandered into the wilderness, only 2 entered the Promise Land. We're entering the final moments on earth with 7.8 billion people. Will you be one of the few that are saved? Read Luke 13:23-24. FEW there be that find it.

Hey instead of debating? we should be grateful that God is still giving us time to repent? these things will come true. Joshua 21:45 said that not a single one of all the visions/promises of the Lord had given was left unfullfilled. It takes only one false prophecy to make a "religion" null and void...The bible contains no errors and 100% perfect prophecy...Over 100 prophecies fulfilled in Christ alone ..specific and detailed foretold hundreds of years before His birth.....(not to mention all of the prophecies about Israel and many other things)

You know, if this were any other religion preaching that there was only their way; and all nonbelivers are gonna go to hell; they would be seen as some kind of extremeists. Hey Nightmoon, last time I checked the only special treatment I have seen has been to the liberals, criminals, and every "other" religion there is. Christianity recieves more attackes and criticism than any other religion out there...anyway, I am not preaching Christianity..I absolutely hate the institution of religion in and of itself..religion is just a bunch of man made rules that have no relevance whatsoever. Even Jesus Himself rebuked the pious religious leaders of His day.

The long and short of it is this..He speaks and it is much louder than mere words. He speaks to my heart mainly thru His word and thru other people but His voice is never audible. But He will put a scripture reference in my head and I will go look it up and it'll be an answer to exactly what I was asking Him. By the way, GawdofThunder, How is your health? Not afraid at all. I probably attended church as long as you are old. I was an atheist the whole time, and I bet I was the only one there that actually listened. I enjoyed the sermons, but I certainly didn't believe any of the supernatural stuff. As for the bible, it was written years after the actual events took place. None of what is written can be taken as 'truth'. Other than the bible, nothing else has anything written about jesus... nothing!! ... skeptical..??? you bet I am!

I appreciate your honesty. I am curious as to the "church" that you attended. As for the life AND resurrection of Jesus I can site several accounts of His life written by secular historians that corroborate His existence, death and ressurection. Two of these people, Josephus and Tacitus, were in fact non believers at the time of their writings. It is documented in antiquities and verifies that Jesus lived, died and was seen after His death. Would you like proof of this because I have it?

It is widely believed the Josephus account is a blatant forgery. Tacitus was born around 56 AD.. enough said. Like I said, there is no account of jesus written by anyone who actually physically met him. None... During the period when jesus was supposed to have lived, many historians wrote, but none ever mention jesus. Sorry, I am still very skepical. If you have any writings done by someone who actually met jesus I would love to hear about it. cheers
