How did your rifle like the gamo raptor accuracy wise? I have found them to be REALLY fast velocity wise in my big cat1200, but also pretty inconsistent grouping..... It's only 5.4g in .177 though, pretty light to hold a trajectory over a distance...
I have a Beeman RS2 and it breaks the sound barrier right now with .22 it is new and dieseling right now because of the oil from manufacturing. I found myself doing the samething, shooting into the distance to hear the crack.
Mine does the same thing... I also figured out that even when shooting up from the bottom of the book, you can't stop one of the gamp PBA pellets in a 300 page book
just a fuckin awesome pellet test vid - its 02:35 AM here in England , but this vid made me cough n splutter while I was having my last toke of a pipe before crashing out -
@BBQwatchman It's just a weird thing that happens when somthing goes past the speed of sound. I don't know all that much about it myself lol. I think i used to know why its loud after going past the speed of sound.
i have tried both raptors and crosman silver eagles and they both weigh about the same (i think the alloy is tin and the gold is a waste of money). the problem i had with the crosman was the inconsistent shape. lots have a little tail on the skirt and some dont even look like pellets. i have a gamo cfx and now my gun wont make that crack sound anymore. turns out, light pellets cause wicked vibration and accelerated wear on spring guns. 8- 10 gr. are supposed to be best for .177 springers
I prefer "a larger caliber", however that's pretty damn cool! I've been thinking about getting a pellet gun lately b/c my neighbors wouldn't really appreciate an AR going bang off the back porch...
I have the same rifle as u and i use similar shaped and weighted pellets to the 18k but they still break the sound barier... Just without costing alot i think its like $5 for like 100 lol
Nope, in .177 caliber raptors weight 5.4 grains ( Don't quote me on that) a Kodiak weighs about 10.6 grains... I could be off on that one. A raptor shoots too fast to be accurate.
You need to get crosman discovery PCP with pump. Your gun sounds week at best get .22cal!!!! They will suffer no spring problems shooting light weight pellets.
i sent a PBA pellet true a 1and1/2 thick 2x6 with my RWS model 48 at 15 yards... It usually send the pellet 1"deep in the board with a round nose crosman pellet... Unfortunately i read review that says PBA pellets aren't good for high power airguns???
that's right....they're too light and do not offer enough resistance to cushion the hard piston slam in a high powered springer. IMHO, these light pellets are pretty useless....they're inaccurate when they go supersonic, they lose velocity faster, deliver less energy to the target, and cost more than regular pellets.
yeah these things might sound cool, but thats were it stops, their ballistics suck, yeah they might go in stuff farther then other pellets but they dont expand, which means that they suck, well at least for the hunter, (anyone that dont belive me check my PBA vs crosman premier videos)
The pellets! Well I shouldnt say they suck But for the money the pointed RWS pellet will do the same for less money. Sounds like you have a good gun. Nice groups.
your welcome but id rather get the crossman silver eagle hunting hollow pellets cause the weight are about the same as the pba raptors and they cost less the the pba and u get more
also the reason i think ther are not as expensive around where u live is probably they make them around that area while its expensive here is that they have to ship em here
Nice! :D It sucks that here in sweden you can't have airrifles that shoot faster than 650fps...

Stop the bullshit talk. The thing about this it's cool to break the sound barrier with an air rifle.

Don't use them for hunting though, they will lose speed quicker than a heavier pellet and transfer less energy to the target as well.

@ScottsUtubeWorld I think its around 1100 but why would you want to make an airgun louder? lol, just grab a .22lr
