I was perfectly prepared to not enjoy this as Corbetta's rhetoric sails past so many 'guitarists' who attempt it.But not here. The playing is full of improvisatory and lyric affect and it never sinks to the level of predictable or tedius.Bravo!

Why are you posting all these Folias straight from recordings? Better let people support the performers by buying these great tunes which are in many cases tour-de-forces to perform.
I think posting these recordings here is great, because this way, people like myself (who didn't know it yet) have a chance to get into this sort of music. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way.
This is a "baroque" guitar: 1 simple and 4 double strings. The low E is absent; low A is an octave higher, and the D course has one "normal" and one "octave" string.
@annuhkuh Youtubes a brilliant way to find new music. Of course all the people who make the effort to upload are just as important if not more so than the site itself.
@FoliesEspagne For someone living in a cultural desert where you'll never find any of these CD whatever the cost, these posts are a pleasure...Also these posts can make discover new musical worlds to a lot of people who otherwise will never hear baroque or classical music on the commercial TV and radios. And if available can buy the CDs.
Think also that for many people each CD, with payment commissions and shipping, will cost between one and two days of wages...
@Nounours821 Right if the musicians and record companies would like it they would do it themselves (actually quite a few do). Otherwise the agrumetation is a klaugh:
You _have to_ support musicians otherwise they are no longer able to produce professional recordings. So if you like music you buy the music even if it is 2 days wages. Otherwise you don't like the music enough.
Thank you for all your uploads of La Follia.

As the consequence is that you buy any of these recordings I have no objection. Otherwise my argument stays alive.
