@olbodala French has a greater alteration i think over 40% while italian has the smallest, 10%, or something like that. But as further you move from italian peninsula the latinity take more influence from the migrations, in east dacoromanians been influenced by slavic settlers while in west we have the influence of germanics.

But yeah, since he showed only the Europeans parts where the language are spoken, it could have been a French artist. Regardless that she is Québécoise, she does not sing with a french-candian accent and I feel that her beautiful voice is a strong representation of the French language.
