i am using revlon colorstay liquid foundation in all of my photo shoots and it really looks good on camera. just make sure you set it with powder.

For stage makeup, such as beauty pageants, how do you compensation for the funky colors in the stage lights? Last year my daughter competed at a local pageant and had this fantastic orange sherbet color dress... the stage lights had a weird color which caused not just her dress to look a completely different color but everyone else. As a result the makeup on her looked horrible. So how would you compensate the makeup in such situations?

@msducklyn all depends on the artist. :) Go to different artists, ask to see photos of their work. Show them pictures of what you like or want, so they know what you're looking for. Tell them what you like, don't like. Get them to do it before the wedding to see if you like it. Like a dress-rehearsal.

I would plug Ben Nye and your closest major city into Google and see what you come up with. Since this is a theatrical based makeup I can only assume theatrical stores mostly carry it, but I could be wrong.

What would you recommend for Wedding makeup- I know they say you shouldn't wear foundations with spf in it because the flash will wash your face out, but I'm actually really sensitive to the sun and if I don't have sunscreen on, I burn very fast! I'm at a loss as to what to do!

would you say that for HD film shooting you would follow the same principles? well, I know about the matt, of course, but foundation wise won't it look too cakey?

I'm an actress, I enter several independent, low budget films where I have to do my own makeup, and I have sensistive post-acne skin, with some breakouts, scarring, and flaking at the same time. damn indie filmmakers and their HD cameras... ;)

it's oh so difficult to achieve the "perfect skin with no makeup" look... :(
