i have naturally straight medium/thick hair and every time i curl it, instead of getting small curls, i get more of a barrel effect which looks too fancy. and it falls out very quickly if i dont put a TON of hairspray in it. i tried a million different things but nothing seems to work :( any help pleasee?
Yes, you can use tongs on straightened hair (the model in this video did have pre-straightened hair in fact) but make sure you use a heat protection syrum and regular nourishing hair treatments as prolonged use of any heated appliances can have a negative effect on your hair
rollers, hot rollers, regular curling iron, you can also roll your own hair useing bobby pins or small clips to hold them in place while they dry. also if your going to use rollers do not get the velcro kind they make your hair frizzy and it takes out the curl
Best advice is to use a combination of products - first use an anti fizz agent/product and then use the perfect curls for styling. Should also use a protection syrum if you are going to be using curling tongs to achieve the look

umm sorry if this sounds weird but what diameter curling iron should I buy for those curls?
punkrockgal2244 2 years ago
Exact diameters change depending on the brand you use but to achieve these loose flowing curls you need a large diameter curling iron
