i disagree. humanity may not have had the "knowledge" that we consider so highly prized in today's world, but they certainly held the key to wisdom, which is aquired through knowledge of forces outside of our control. the earth, trees, grass, sky, sun, ocean etc. are perfect manifestations of deity because they are what sustains life...we are not foolish, we have understanding that many haven't discovered yet, because they are blinded in a way.

Starhawk is great, I really loved her book "Spiral Dance". I met her once here in Ames IA years ago where she officiated a ritual in the 'Sunroom' of ISU.
