is it possible to make a working car with spherical wheels like in the movie? and how would it be done? I'm guessing the acceleration and braking and turning would all be done by magnets, sort of like how a rail gun uses magnets to speed up the projectile it's firing.

irobot came came out in 2004 and was being made in 2003. Just recently Audi announced the Audi E-tron concept which looks very similar to the audi in the movie. Heck, I think the R8 came out after the movie too.

this car runs on Gasoline. theres no spherical balls, its a cover and under it are tires. we dont have this technology yet, its in future, so they cant actually make a future car, just normal car that looks like it

umm there was something that irritated me at the end of the movie. remember when sonny drew that picture of the "man" standing over all the robots who he said were "slaves"? at the end, when you found out that sonny was the "man" standing over all those people, doesnt that make you infere that another revalution of robots will come, only this time, it's sonny?
