  • Pinhead.

  • Mr Cahoon might be a great actor, but the makeup is AWFUL... no comparison to the original look worn by Michael Helpman in the movie

  • you creepy man!!

  • Can someone tell the make-up artist that he is meant to be the child catcher and not the demon from Salems Lot

  • @JohnMacDonald1 - Right on! Either that or Nosferatu!

  • Poor kids lol =) You know he loves being told that his part scares people

  • the original one has the most unique face..

  • oh kiddie kiddie bang bang

kiddie kiddie kiddies Ilove you all

  • I'm gay myself, but I'm disgusted with the uber-gay narration of the "child-catcher" character, who sounds like some sort of Valley Girl. Notice to gay show-men: It's OK to speak like normal men -- you don't have to sound like idiotic SoCal women like Rachel Zoe.You're embarrassing yourselves.

  • @8angst8

My thoughts exactly. I'm not gay myself, but I've always wondered why some gay men talk like they are women and some talk with their normal voice. I never understood it.

  • Man I had the honour of seeing Kevin Cahoon play The Child Catcher. He was... chilling!

  • woah! how'd they get Marilyn Manson to play in the show!...oh wait

  • he sounds like a sweetheart <3

  • The makeup and the character are over the top, but in a scarey good way. He is does a really great job as the Child Catcher!!!! Good Job!!!

  • Hells bells. He looks more like something out of "Star Wars".

I thought only Gene Simmons (Kiss) had a tongue like that.

There is something almost glamorous about the makeup of this child catcher, not hideous like Helpmann's character in the movie. Sorry, this doesn't seem appropriate. Are they trying to do something 'new' by altering (and spoiling) a classic?

  • Movie versions scarier, he just looks like a supergoth here.

  • hes not gay! lol

  • I met him after seeing this show, we waited to get autographs. And you know, he was the sweetest guy you'd ever want to meet! Proof he's a great actor- I thought he made the character appropriately scary and I told him so and he just gave me a big smile and said "thank you" :)

  • They should make a move called The Child Catcher...

  • I don't think he's as scary. I mean I'm still freaked out by the original Child catcher because he seemed like a creepy pedophile you could actually meet somewhere. *shudder*

But this guy looks like an alien or something. Not as realistically creepy in my opinion.

  • I saw this show a few years ago and he was my favorite character :P The villains seem to always be my favorite characters...

  • im going to see the english version tonight cant wait :)

  • I lol'd at the thought of the kids running out screaming! XD

  • omg he looks a lot like Marilyn Manson! o.O

  • anyone seen richard o'brien perform as him? i heard he was REALLY good.

  • haha lol i was there ..... i was really scared of him i wwas 8 && it scared me .. but i did meet him in person He gave me a lolipop :)

  • Well that's pretty simple. If you want to wreck a children's classic movie, make it into a lame version of a Broadway-ish musical?, and top it off with a pertinacious douchebag as an opinionated actor as the childcatcher.

  • haha! when my class and i went to see this, he came out and yelled "oh CHILDRENNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!" IT WAS SOOO FUNNY BE CAUSE MY FRIENDS AND I STARTED YELLING " over here!" and "BOOOOOO! STOP SCARING THE KIDS!" haha! it was soooo funny!!!!

  • and then whAT happened? very funny I started cracing up I could just imagine that.

  • I'm soo stealing your job...Lol.

  • dude u would give me nitemares too, lol

  • im going to see it next year in liverpool who plays him next year i have the figures

  • Cahoon began his performing career at the age of 5 as 'The World's Youngest Rodeo Clown', performing throughout the Texas and Oklahoma Rodeo Circuits, including many consecutive seasons at The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo at Houston's Astrodome and The Texas State High School Finals Rodeo, resulting in a Letter of Citation from then Texas Governor Bill Clements.

  • i think he's right about the evil characters being enthralling, and when the kids get to meet them they can get to face their fears and realise it's all just a character that they don't need to be afraid of.

  • I want that role.

  • There is always an evil child threat in any good story..the wolf...The witch in hansel and gretel.. there are just tons of them face it man... IT HAPPENS

  • Evil..pure evil...what kind of person would take this role knowing it would scare children..and what kind of producer would make a play for kids and put something like this in it???? There is a time and place for everything. Kevin must have been hungry.

  • Someone who wants to work in the business. It's called acting and it doesn't make you the character. The fact that he is scary is good. The original character in the movie made me afraid to go outside for weeks. It's all part of growing up.

  • It's called ACTING. Get over it.

  • ...and a hiss! Lol it's Nosferatu meets Riffraff with a pinch of uber-camp thrown in.

  • the guy that played Riff Raff played him in London

  • And a touch of goth.

  • Looks like a drag queen.

  • Dame he looks ugly here Hed scair the movie version C.C. out of town

  • After premiering in London (where it closed in September 2008) in 2002, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang opened on Broadway on April 25, 2005. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang will play its final performance at the Hilton Theatre on December 31, 2008. At the time it closes, the musical will have played 34 previews and 285 regular performances.
