McCain was useless during the bailout negotiations. Before he returned to washington, a bailout bill had already been negotiated. Then McCain enters the picture & it falls apart-it was his party that didn't vote for the bill despite his lobbying efforts. He can't influence his side of the aisle, yet he promises to work across the aisle? Contrary to his "promises" he voted for the bill full of $150B in pork. AND he went back on the campaign before the legislation was re-negotiated and passed.
