Personally, I don't like emos because most of them seem to be upper-middle class white kids without many problems. Most of them have a house, live with both of their parents, and are well-fed and clothed. But I don't discriminate against them or anything. Mainly I just don't understand it.
Most emo's are NOT like that. Actually very few are. I go to a private school where everyday at least three girls and two boys are raped. Most of the people there have turned 'emo'. I was almost subject to one of they're gangbang's, but The teacher came. I do everything to try to act normal but words are still flung at me like 'emo' and 'goth'. Personally, I don't like emos because most of them seem to be upper-middle class white kids without many problems. Most of them have a house, live with both of their parents, and are well-fed and clothed. But I don't discriminate against them or anything. Mainly I just don't understand it.

Most emo's are NOT like that. Actually very few are. I go to a private school where everyday at least three girls and two boys are raped. Most of the people there have turned 'emo'. I was almost subject to one of they're gangbang's, but The teacher came. I do everything to try to act normal but words are still flung at me like 'emo' and 'goth'. The school I go to is 'christian' apparently. :/almost everyone there 'cuts' and you know something. Life just completely sucks for each of us there.

It's not 'body injuring', because if that were the case, I've had body injury before, it's called skidding tour leg on cement, hurts like crazy. Cutting further alienates you from people who do not understand your pain and loneliness. If you have trouble connecting to other people it only worsens after damaging yourself to this extent. Your facade becomes a greater part of yourself because you're not allowed to tell the people who you care about. I've stayed silent and it hurts to be secretive. I really advise you to never cut the memory never dissapears and the temptation remains. Its a conveient escape mechanism which is unreliable.

The symbol for immortality in case when I die there really is an afterlife which I doubt. When you cut your body releases endorphins which are a substitute for feeling. Its what prevents you from being a vegetable. I'd like people to know however that this chemical reaction should not be your only source of feeling. You call it stupid and "dumbass", but in reality, when you know why some people self-mutilate, you can easily understand why he/she would do such a thing. Read the book "Cut", I promise you will understand why people hurt themselves in order to overcome pain, even it's it temporary relief. This isn't the FULL truth- people self injure (yes, I believe that was the term you were looking for...) for a variety of reasons. That fact needed to be highlighted.
