  • Wow seriously people? Its crocheting. Obviously you understand her if your correcting her chosen phrases. Calm the hell down, its not that serious.

  • @SinfullyJaythebabe I would thumbs up this comment if youtube allowed me to but since it's my video, i'm not allowed to rate on comments :( however, THUMBS UP :)

  • i cut the string and finished and realized its not as slouchy or as big as i wanted it. how do i fix it cause i cut the string??

  • @blushedd just tie it back to your yarn ball (there will be a knot in the yarn but it will be hidden if you push it inside of the hat)

  • beatiful

  • adorable

  • I love this video.. But I just can't seem to make it loose like urs.. Next project ur infinity scarf.. Thanx do u know how to do fingerless gloves?

  • This Has No Relation To The Video What So Ever But I Loooveee Your Room's Wall :D

  • wow thanks for this video!!

  • crochet stick hahaha crochet hook

  • My moms been doing this using the same size crochet hook and the same pattern and everything, but when she sttarts it, it always ends small... Why?

  • CROCHET HOOK!

  • Love this..soo excited to try this thank you for posting this!!

  • Man. Leave her alone. I infact loved the video. Thank you :) Cute hat too.

  • Row 1 Ch 52 join with SC Row 2 Ch 3, DC all around, end with ST Row 3 Ch 3, FPDC, BPDC all around and end with ST Repeat row 3 for row 4, 5 and 6 Row 7,8,9 Ch 3, 1DC, 2DC end with ST Row 10 Ch 3 DC in each stitch end with ST Row 11 Ch 3 DC, skip stitch, DC skip stitch all around end with ST Row 12 Ch 3 DC all around end with ST Row 13 Ch 2, 1 SC, skip 2, 1 SC skip 2 all around until hat closes... Umm patch hole and end...
  • hey, i am not claiming to be good at this but some ppl have been asking for written versions of the designs, so i tried for this one...

  • The size of the hook does matter. I used smaller hook and it turned out smaller, the rows weren't as wide as yours. I tired with a triple crochet stich to make it bigger, but it still didn't turn out as pretty as yours. :) But I'll definitely try again with a bigger hook. :) And thank you, I love this tutorial.

(puppyloves20 has a point about terminology though, but it didn't bother me that much.)

  • USE THE CORREST TERMONOLGY !!! THERE CALLED LOOPS, SLIP STICH, DOUBLE CROTCHET!!!!!!

  • @puppyloves20 So you don't like the hat?

  • Its called a crochet HOOK!

  • I can't seem to play this video right now but what was the pattern in order to close the hat?

  • I love it. How many yards of yarn you used ?

  • OMG i <3 you 4 making this Video!!! i love the hat that i made and i have been getting plenty of compliments! Thank you sooooooo much!!

  • Grrr... I can't even get pass the first part. Mine just keeps coming out too tight. I must have missed some important key part... but no idea what.. She must have skipped spaces.

  • @EmoTurkey mine comes out tight too. i think it might be the size of my crochet needle though. mine is only 3.75 tho.

  • about how many rows did she do when she single crochet into every third stitch to finish off the beret?

  • loovveedddd it!! thanks so much!!

  • Love your video. I'm gonna try it on this weekend !

    Hugs from Sweden -3

  • omg i watched this 100 times ive made my own hat tnxs ur awesome ill send u a video of my new hat :)

  • 8:20 couldn't see well!! :s But thou nice that i tried :)

  • I was wondering if you could do mittens, i have only found a few vids and they are not in depth and camera is not as good, i would be greatful if you could help, thank you, chloe

  • This is complicating but AWESOME!!!!

  • I just found your videos and I must say that your hats are great. :) I´m going to try one of the tutorials. Thanks a lot. A girl from Slovakia

  • I just finished this and I love it. I had to double a couple of the rows but it looks great. I used about a ball of yarn and a half.

  • i had to do 80 nots?

  • @oksyrocks That's fine. I had to chain I think it was 72. Different head sizes and different placements can change the first chain length ((fyi she calls "knots" is what a ch or chain is on any pattern))

It depends how tight you crochet too...I normally crochet pretty tight but the lady in the video crochets loose.

Just know that it will take more stiches to finish but it will be fine.

  • @amatoryrose stitches**

  • i finally go it :D tired a few times but got it this time! thanks!

  • this is seriously hard to follow. so far i've gotten to the part where you make one stitch in one hole, then two in the next. but it's really confusing me, i'm not sure if it came out right or not cuz the part where it says "this is how it should look", you kinda randomly flail it around and it makes it hard to see the pattern >,< but otherwise, i think it's pretty cute so i'm gonna try following along with the rest of the video.

  • @661lynk It will resemble the double crochet that you did in the second row.

  • How much yarn did you use?

  • hey, you didn't really explain how to close the top off well, i tried to do like you said and just went across but then it was reeeally messy >A<

  • in the beginning..did you skip every other hole?..or you did a stich in every hole?

  • is it normal if its kinda twisted?

  • how much yarn does this take up??

  • You are fantastic...I made this hat and it was perfect...I can't believe it...I made the infinity scarf you made and now the slouchy beret and they are terrific...keep up the great job and I will continue to watch you..and I look forward to your other videos...now I am going to make the red beret too...

  • @hisatosgirl how much yarn did you use? the video doesn't explain and i've noticed a few other people were asking so i thought i'd ask someone who's already finished it.

  • @661lynk It depends on the yarn. The stuff she used (Red Heart) one skein(356ish yards of Red Heart I think) of that should be fine if you crochet as loose as she does. I have used about a skein on over half of it, but it's hard to tell because I am using up a two skein ball to do it with.

  • @661lynk Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner...I only used about one half to three quarters of a seven ounce skein but it depends on how loose you make it. The looser you crochet, the slouchier your hat is. Hope this helps :)

  • Mine didn't turn out as Chunky and Slouchy as hers did, probably because I was a little bit too neat with it but it still looks good to me. Fantastic tutorial! (:

  • i thought that i was doing this just like you said but when i get to the last row, its not even close to closing up. Any advice would be awesome!!

  • its soooo cute!!!!! im going to make this tonight!!!

  • i can't figure out what holes you are using to go in when doing the front back pattern in the begining : (

  • @DanielleLeeTraina @DanielleLeeTraina The holes are basically the spaces between the double crochets you were doing for the first row. The holes are pretty big so it should be pretty easy to find them, if not try rewinding the video. (:

  • did you make this tutorial up, like did you create this pattern

  • I only have a 2.5mm crochet hook. Is there any way I can do this beret with it?

  • @feelslikedance ... double up on everything and leave your stiches loose .. that should do it.. Just when you get the first couple rows done id try it on.

  • @feelslikedance i take back my previous reply lol .. since she is doing this on no stitch count .. all you have to do is fit the first chain to your head .. and follow along ..

  • @xglampirelinny won't the hat be small?

  • @feelslikedance listen, i am fairly new to crochet but i made this hat with a 2.5 mm and a 3.7 mm and they both came out perfectly fine, i just made the stitches super loose...... hope you can figure it all out.!

  • @ICONicGleek I added a few more rounds to make it bigger; it was too small at first but it turned out well :)

  • mine came out weird from the top..it doesn't look at nice as yours does. The holes are wide on top of my finished product. :/

  • I do everything you do.. but my hat fits like a baseball cap. O_O It doesn't become slouchy like yours. ): What am I doing wrong? Does it have anything to do with my crochet stick, cause mine is 5.00 not the same size at yours.

  • Ok. I used a 5.0 needle an it was the right shape but not slouchy. What are expnasion rows and how do I ad them?

  • @mikewyns1 the expansion rows are the ones where you crochet 2 stitches in one hole, instead of just one stitch per hole

  • @traceybeauty Did you mean for the expansion rows, the 2 stich in one hole then 1 stich in the next hole and alternating that pattern? Because I have the same problem since I used a 5.0 needle and I want to add some expansion rows.

  • mine isnt slouchy, its chunky but really thin and weird at the top :(

  • I really enjoy your crocheting tutorials! Easy to follow and straightforward. I'm currently creating a beanie using this pattern. Create more crocheting tuts! :D

  • Thank you for your time. I love it!

  • Whoo hoo! I tried your tutorial again today, fixed a lot of mistakes I did on the first one. Im so happy with the way it turned out! Just one question? Its pretty open on the top, kind of looks like a spider web. Is that how it is supposed to look? Im going to try your other tutorial with the red yarn.

  • @browneyedhottie16 yes, it really does look like a spider web at the top =)

  • Great video:) This is the first Crocheted item I've EVER made!! It turned a lot better than I thought. After finishing it and trying it on, I could see where i messed up. I couldnt reall understand the last step though. the first row of skip 2 holes and go through the third was easy, but i couldnt figure out where to put my stick through to finish the hat..? If that makes sense? Thanks for making this tutorial!

  • I <3 this pattern! So simple and chic! I've made 3 now, I need to make the Infiniti scarf now. It took me 30-40 mins after I got semi used to the design. Thanks do much!!

  • how long did it take you to make it?

  • So you use 52 knots for your sizing, but how do I know how much I would need? Where do I do the sizing on my head?

  • thank you for this video it was very helpful :)

  • Happy Holiday's to you and your family. What type of yarn are you using if you don't mind me asking?

  • amazing videos! :)) keep posting.i.love ur simple tutorials you should do some.more advanced stitches. :) would be great!

  • Thank you this is really cute! Yours is very easy to understand. I will be making this. Please make more videos.

  • Oh I meant the hat..it is late....

  • Oh thank you thank you so much. I made the scarf and I just finished the hut...the hut is so cute and comfortable and easy. I tried all the other tutorial but yours are the only ones that came out neat and well made and this is my first time doing this in my life. Thank you so much you are very special please share more...I will be checking.

  • Great tutorial, so easy to follow. Your so pretty ;)

  • yeah so...this is freakin awesome.

  • do you know if doing the front makes the pattern look puffy or doing the back when it's the alternating pattern?

So far mine it looking good!!! Took me 2 tries but the 3rd is the charm!

  • So glad to see you will be making another one for beginners! Its,harder than it,looks YOU ROCK THOUGH!

  • this is really difficult!

  • @eezgirl1998 I'M SORRY :( I will upload an easier beret tutorial tomorrow, wed 12/21 =)

  • @XcarxcrashxheartsX47 yay! your comment makes me really happy =)

  • Its not called knots, its called a chain. And your pattern is just called a double crochet.

  • @carleeforever thanks for the name of the pattern! Sorry, I have no knowledge whatsoever of crochet terms =(

  • First one I made: Too small.

Second one I made: Too big.

Third one I made: I messed up. LOL.

  • @traceybeauty it's okay, i made another one, and it turned out perfect! i guess i was just too beginner-ish. haha. and your new video was a great success for me! Thank you! i hope you'll make more tutorials! (:

  • ok so i finished mine and it doesnt get slouchy enough and i even added an extra stich 1 stich 2 row

    what shouls i do

  • @lanaBANANArama19 you should add 3-4 rows of expansion rows

  • FINALLY A TUTORIAL I UNDERSTAND! @traceybeauty thank you sooo much!

  • Does it have to be with that big crochet hook?

  • @internetplustv nope, but it's a lot quicker & easier with a big crochet hook in my opinion =)

  • @traceybeauty Thank you and please check out my channel if you want to try out some simple crochet project in my Crochet playlist and send me a friend request ;you don't have to but it would mean a lot, Thank you

  • @sweetpidi you're welcome! i hope the results were well <3

  • This is great! I have to make a hat like this for my niece but I've had..I don't know..."crochet block", I think because she wants it in black and I have used WAY too much black yarn lately. Now, after seeing your video, I can grab my chunky black yarn and get to work! Thanks! (After this hat, I will never use black again.)

  • @jharker45 lol i'll try to never use black yarn in my tutorials =)

  • I;m going to try this right now. I understand it now after watching other crochet videos on youtube. :) I like your chunky beret style better.

  • can you show a video on how you make the pom pom? Love your DIY videos please make more!!!!

  • @mrssweet01 yes, my next video which will be uploaded next week is a beret w/ a pom pom =)

  • It takes you 20 minutes to make a chunky hat!!? If It took me only 20 minutes to make a hat like that, I'd be Queen of the Universe! Bravo. Bravo. You rule. My family and I Love You and You're Beautiful! Keep Creating! Happy Holidays to You and Your Family!

  • :D I'm so glad you made this tutorial! LOVE IT!

  • @inevitablymoze thank you for watching <3

  • Good Video :)

How long does it usually take to make one? and how much yarn?

  • @Noonelikemeh i used about 75% of the yarn. it's by the brand "red heart" so i'm not sure how many inches/meters it is. it took me 20-30 mins

  • I can't wait for you to do more crochet videos! I have made this hat and the scarf a few times now :D

  • @caruso3991 awe yay, i love hearing success stories hehe

  • FINALLY A TUTORIAL I UNDERSTAND ! Thanks(:

  • When i first tried i used a thinner yarn so i made it for my sister, but i went and bought more yarn so yay one for me. thanks for the video, it really helped

  • @franKii924 you're welcome. thanks for watching

  • 5.0 is a "G" DO you have just the pattern written down - so I can take with me?

  • @lookingup82 im sorry i don't know how to read or write patterns

  • My first one looks like an infants hat, so I tried a second one and this one is flared out so wide it looks like a baby skirt so i think ill keep that too, I'm about to have a baby girl..lol. I'm upset I want a hat for myself, what sn I doing wrong

  • @ya2babes im having the same problemm

  • Ok...I just attempted to complete this cute chunky/slouchy beret for the 2nd time. Much success the last time!!! The 1st 2x's, (using an"I" hook), it came out like a chef's hat. Sooo, I completed this beret using a "N" hook. Looks exactly like traceybeauty's. Hayyy!!! Btw... thank you traceybeauty for this tutorial. Really cute! I guess I'm just a tight crocheter. lol

  • @utuber618

I think ill try that. Mine came out small/ strange. haha. But traceybeauty's is so nice, so I really wanna try it again and use a different size hook. Thanks for the tip!

  • mine also came out too small but im trying again! great videos!! thank you:)

  • i made this beanie, and like a lot of other people, it was way too small. but i sort of improvised on her starting point and made a larger version that i think might work well for everyone who's final product is a smaller hat than expected. anyone who wants to try it, i'll upload the pattern on my blog.

  • chelsicrochets.blogspot.com
