Well I wonder is it is that good for learning Japanese. I tried an RPG in Japanese a few monthes ago. I was happy to realise that in a way I can read a part of them but this is because I learnt Japanese a bit not because games taught me.

Moreover for unknown kanjis it means looking for the meaining in dictionary every 5 seconds. I wonder if this is so pleasant when you want to play the game...

Wrong! It's still illegal cause you're downloading it. Regardless of you owning the actual copy or not. It's not illegal if you own the original copy and make a backup copy (in this case a rom) yourself and keep the original with the backup copy. When you give away the original copy you must either give the backup with it or destroy the backup.

The point of my comment wasn't about people who cares. It was about what really is legal and illegal. Downloading a rom to a game you already own is still illegal. However, chances are if you download an obsolete game not many people are going to care. They're more concerned with the person sharing it since you stop the supplier then you stop everybody else from downloading it. As for game stores you're right for used games. Past or next gen all profit is the store's.

Figured it out. You have to download "Lunar IPS" or any kind of IPS patcher and then add the ips translation file and the actual ROM, it'll create a new file, play the new file and there ya go!

the roms have to be "hacked" in order to be translated. programmers have to go in and modify the actual code of the game itself in order to change the language, it usually takes a team(but sometimes just one) of very dedicated people and usually takes several months if not years, yet people still do it. certainly a labor of love.

You should also tell them that they're going to need certain system requirements to emulate the Nintendo 64 and Play Station. Not everyone has a good graphics card. There's also a emulator called MAME that lets you play most arcade games, without having to pay for coins :P
