Man I miss it up there.. My hometown is Calumet, in Keweenaw County. Much of my family still lives up there.. and I know I will be back up there soon enough. :)

I grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The Keweenaw is a beautiful place to go visit for the summer plus swim in lake superior. I used to occasional see what appeared to be fiery colored UFO's in the sky's near Green/Silver City, Michigan and because of that I've had a life long interest in such. I also seen what appeared to be a UFO formation from the keweenaw area one summer. Very beautiful and sometimes a mysterious night sky. I now live in New Mexico and don't see UFO's anymore.

This is the ONLY place in the world I have found that puts and ad on the net etc for volunteers for the public library then turns them away when they show up.

Listen I can type ALL DAY on things like this ,and you can make all sorts of counter

points ,but everything about Ironwood,MI is written on the wall.

From the businesses for sale(most to all),or the crime/drug problems(alarmingly misrepresented)to the sick joke of local politics and peoples stupidity.Read the Ironwood paper LOL

i would say that a huge portion of the u.p. is littered with people who have a ghetto mentality. if it were not for the ignorance of a majority of the population here it would be a more beautiful place to live. it is a place that's better to visit in ways unless you feel like putting up with the small town politics and tribal like culture. locals vs. outsiders is right - but these people will eat their own when no one is watching as well.

a must watch for some who misses home alright. i miss michigan so much. for some reason today, i've been so homesick. i live in florida, but michigan will always be my home. when i come back, im moving to far north michigan. up around the area in this video.
