@Drowzor Possibly, with proper voltage regulation. Of course, it would take a while though. standard 2-wire doesnt output much current. only a few tens of milliamps.
...By the way, I was in an electrical surplus shop yesterday, and I saw a weird high voltage transformer. But I didn't know what it was for. I think the output was
8kv. It wasn't a neon sign transformer or furnace transformer. It was a lot bigger. I think it might have been a plate transformer, or maybe even a small potential transformer. I almost bought it, but they wanted $85 and I couldn't afford it :(
yea it around 48V floating, up to 100V ring at 30Hz. and yea i think i mentioned that in my video that we just use cellphones, we may get digital phone though
lol phone company bitching.. yeah the headset will hold open the line so lol its active the whole time.. yeah i wish i didn't have land line phones (just the land line)in my house.. lol the wonders of land lines great videos man and i will be up loading the 45 videos i have to up load lol
yeah luckily this line has no service and yet its connected...hmmm, its almost like they wanted me to take their extra power!!! lol and thanks for the nice comments, its cool to get them. and i cant wait to see some of your videos!!!
Do you think you could charge a battery with a similar connection?

hmm...yeah, I had always wondered what the voltage is on phone lines.
You guys don't have a land line in your house? You just use cell phones or what?

@ct92404
It's about 50-70 volts i personally got around 60 volts. I live in canada btw

@kingfiresprite
I'm also in Canada.
What do you think is going on with my phone?
People say it's 60v, I take a little 6 volt (six not 60) light and it barley lights up, only makes 1 little red amber.
I touch the wires, I feel nothing.
Phone works fine with it though (the phone has no batteries, or other power source, just the phone line)

lol yea but you cant listen to an LED lamp hahah

you can power a cfl with that
all you have to do is connect it to the in put of a SLT
and hook the output of the slt to the cfl light
not the ballast just the light and it will light up
kind of bright maybe 2 or 3 watts of power still fun tho
