I was at this event - he was so funny with his stories about his life as a teacher. For years, I have used Angela's Ashes as a core book for my high school seniors. Somehow, it will never quite be the same now that Frank has passed. I will miss you , Frank- but, you are now with Baby Margaret, Eugene, and Oliver. . . Slainte

Adored "Angela's Ashes." I felt like I was experiencing everything he went through as a boy. What a terrific storyteller. He is a great writer and I am sorry to hear he's nearing the end of his journey. God Bless, Mr. McCourt.

Agreed wholeheartedly. I wish he could recover miraculously, but should he not, then I hope he has an easy passing. His books are truly amazing.
